Hey guys rox fan here. Pretty interesting. Decent but not great trade imo considering the Rubio situation.

I wonder if the Wolves countered with Flynn and Telfair for Yao.

Sounds like a Knicks proposal.

I like Battier, but think Gomes is a somewhat similar player at less cost. No interest in Brooks as there's guys that have a great stretch in the playoffs and then do nothing else after that.

Packages of Kelvin Martin and Hawes, Eric Gordon and picks, Devin Harris and other assets are the only ones I'd consider for Rubio now.

Well, Battier is an elite defender and a good 3pt shooter. I'd rather have him than Gomes, just not for the cost.

OJ Mayo is one of the best defenders in the league, hes a two way player and hes a great passer and playmaker.

Battier is 30 years old, his best years are behind him.

Would an offer of Outlaw, Webster, Bayless be good for Rubio?

I agree Battier's the better player, but for the price I don't see him as a difference maker as much as the glue guy on a playoff team. If cost wasn't part of the equation, then it's a different case.

Hmm .. Rubio is potentially our #2 guy.

As always, the best guy POR offers is their #5 (and I'm not even sure that #5 is in this offer).

I'll politely say, "come back when you are willing to negotiate with legitimate value."

They are all great players but this franchise is looking for a star player to go with Al and K.Love. I do not see these players having that potential, however they are great players. That is what is tough about this, there is a chance that Rubio does not turn out but the state of MN is hungry for a star and as fans we would not be satisfied unless we trade Rubio for a star type player. If it is too much for a team to give up to get him, so be it. But everyone must realize that Kahn is not shopping him, people are calling him. So do not be upset if we as a whole do not really seem interested in many trade proposals. Lastly perik777 I know you have not gotten upset that last part was directed to any previous trade proposals that after we say "not interested" they tell us we are idiots and should just take it because he wont play for us.

Portland keeps offering up the same pile and it keeps getting rejected. I don't get that...

Wolves need quality, not quanity.

Hey, i dont feel hated...yet. First of all, im not a Blazers fan, im a Spanish poster who sadly, is a Kings fan. And i understand that you are really stressed with all these offers, news and fake rumours, so i will take your criticism with a good sense of humour.

My proposal was directed at your holes at the SG and SF and a PG with great potential, that could developed in a team that is not in win now mode.

I loved the situation when the Wolves drafted Rubio, it was a team that could maximize his potential, with two good to great big men where he could excell in the pick and roll. The problem is that your GM screwed the situation drafting another PG, when he chould have selected or traded for a wing capable to run the floor. Here is where Rubio has doubts, he has to play 2 years for free, and he could see himself in a logjam, maybe not the best situation to sign a better contract in the future.

If you believe Rubio has the value to be untradeable, you need to shop Flynn ASAP, besides, your team could get an scorer at the 2 or 3 too much needed. And I, you, and your GM, no one believes Flynn and Rubio can play together, they are too small to defend any SG in the league

he's not untradeable, he just won't be moved for nonsense. The reason is simple: the Wolves don't have to and it doesn't damage their franchise in any way to wait for reasonable deal.

We had Randy Foye playing SG, Monta Ellis has played tons of SG, Allen Iverson played SG most of his career, I think Rubio has a reasonable shot.

By the way, I don't really buy into the Rubio/Flynn backcourt either, but while there's going to be a strength discrepancy for Rubio/Flynn, there's going to be a speed discrepancy for many SGs trying to keep them out of the paint

Even If Kahn deems Rubio has to be traded, he won't be traded until draft time next year.

Wolves must look for the future. Don't worry if this year we don't play playoffs. Battier is not an ooption for the future.

I think Rubio must play in this team if it's possible this season. He must learn here and the next season try to reach the playoffs. We only have to look for a long distance shooter with exit of Mike miller and Foye.
