Etan is an energy/hustle big that will get putbacks, and can occasionally score in the post. Problem is that he is short for a center and will get shot over easily by anyone over 6'11 and he's a black hole in the post. You pass it to him and you're not getting the ball back. I suggest NOT playing him next to Big Al because Etan does not compliment him whatsoever.

He's an upgrade on Jason Collins! If he's able to stay fit, which has been a big problem for him, he could be a handy defensive option next season. But realistically, he's not going to be around for long.

I'm looking forward to the (albeit brief) Etan Thomas era, probably the best all around center we've had at least since Al has been here. Never really got that many minutes w/ Haywood, but always been good for a block, block and a half, and a half dozen rebounds in 20 minutes.
