I think a Flynn and Harris backcourt would be lethally quick offensively. And as long as Harris can guard SG's(??) it could work defensively.

I like Gordon, but admittedly, I havent seen him much since Indiana.

Gordon has all-star as a ceiling, solid starter as a floor, so I could handle him as the main piece in a trade for Rubio. Harris a very good player, but I'm not that keen on trading Rubio for him and having to add in more value when we already have Flynn.

OJ Mayo is one of the best defenders in the league, hes a two way player and hes a great passer and playmaker.

But I think it would be tough for Glen Taylor to give up on international exposure that Rubio would bring.

I want to win games, I dont care if Spaniards like the wolves or not. And if the Nets offered Rubio for Harris, I personally would consider it very hard, but I am not the one running a business.

The wolves have another year or two to be patient and develop some young guys. So i would lean toward keeping Rubio. A fan has to have hope that they could potentially watch one of the best players in the world play 82+ games a year for their favorite team.

I don't think we can crown Rubio as that good just yet. For the wolves in particular, would need to move Love or Jefferson for someone a little bit faster.

If Wolves could haul back a Yi or some other international player perhaps some of that could be recovered.

I want nothing to do with Yi. He sucks ass and would just be a waste of playing time.

You may be missing the point...I dont think Rubio is better than Harris right now. Or that Rubio is a top-3 player at his position right now. But the chance is there 5 years from now. And just based on potential, his chance is greater than Harris. Potential is a slippery slope, but the wolves probably dont even want to win games right now.

They dont want to give up next year's pick to the LAC. So they can afford to sit back and wait and let players develop. It could be argued that Devin Harris could lead the wolves to 5-8 more wins. That may not be good for development of the franchise.

And I am not saying the wolves want a international team of players so they can market internationally. I am saying the wolves might like the idea of having a potential superstar who would already have an international following. Yi has a billion people on his side, but he is not good at basketball, and I dont think their are many who project him to be a perennial all-star. With that said i would love if we could trade for him, as part of a small deal, because he is does have skill-set that we can use...long, athletic, shooting SF. And as I said we have time to let players develop.
