Min Gets:Curry, Azubuike
GS Gets:Flynn, Smith

Min gets a PG-SG prospect, and a good wing player. GS gets a pure point and a bruiser.

I think GSW likes Curry more than Flynn. Wright has MAJOR upside even if Nellie has been more obstacle than asset when it comes to development. Azubuike is not a mere toss in, he's a rare athlete,he has steadily improved. He was ranked #4 in the NBA in 3%...and is young + cheap.

I DO like Craig Smith...but as long as Nellie runs GSW he will under use a wide body, unless it's a guy who's a good runner or pretty established. Azubuike is VERY much a "Nellie" player, and can be an 18 ppg starter in the near future.

AR was 19 yr old and low $. Amare has a reconstructed knee,a detached retina and is headed for a $20 mill contract he most likely won't sign with GSW. Naturally...GSW would have to add at least $15 mill in OTHER assets to do an Amare deal, and the Suns show no interest in Maggette...So..it becomes A Randolph AND Ellis or Biedrins AND more......at which point GSW says F**K it because they can at BEST break even.

Why are people trying to trade Rubio?

Why for MIN, Curry is a combo guard who is a good shooter now and when he gets older and stronger will be a lot better. Law is a solid point guard who needs more playing time. Wright is that athletic big man lacking with Jefferson and Love. Jefferson and Love are both brusiers. Wright will beat every big man down the court on this team.

Why for GSW, Ellis is not a true point guard, the GSWs do not have a adequate point guard either. Rubio is perfect for Nellie's offensive system. Ellis success came from playing off the ball with Baron creating shots and taken the burden of the decision making and ball handling. Now he must decide when to shoot, pass, take ove a game, get everyone else involved, and everyting else involved in being the lead guard. With Rubio, at least the ball handling and passing will be taken out of his hands. Ellis can concetrate on scoring and creating. Madsen a ending contract. Smith is a good rebounder which the GSWs need at a cheap price.

While I would not do this yet,I might consider it,or something close, later and I'm sure there could be some interest from GSW fans. Rubio's minimal exposure and inclination to stay in Euroball awhile are for me...problems. Personally...I think Ellis will be great at PG IF the damn coach just puts him there instead of making excuses. Monta did well when he DID play the point. Curry will be at least an adequate PG,has star quality. Law or CJ Watson can be good. CJ ended the season very well. We DO need PF depth. Minny needs a wing,a bit more speed, shooting. What's with Sheldon Williams?
