Your assumption apparently is that we'll let Lee and Nate so that we'll have a chance at signing 2 free agents. Donnie hasn't indicated that he'll do that, and Portland appears to have interest in Milsap. OKC has shown no interest, so that leaves a S/T, which requires compensation. Which shoots down your stupid argument.

Nate and Lee are both assets, and while letting Nate go is understandable, Lee won't go anywhere this year without compensation.

Now stick to the topic and try to refute why writers think your draft was ****.

ahhhh,

so now that you find out I'm actually knowledgeable of the situation you suddenly don't actually care about having a good argument, you just want to berate, whine and complain. Go do it on your own board.

Nope.
Plus the Knicks are probably going to lose Lee and Nate without compensation

Your quote.

Care to explain how that's going to happen. Exactly who has the money to sign Lee outright and where are the offers?

Still no answer.

If you were knowledgeable about the situation, you would know that Walsh has said that he'll sign our FAs at the right price. If you were really aware of the situation, you'd know that the MLE would be an absolute bargain for Lee. Yet you stated that the Knicks would probably lose our FAs without compensation. I just ask you how. You just talk in circles.

Answer the question or admit that you have no idea what you were talking about and wanted to throw another team under the bus in light of your GM's cluelessness.

Your getting way too hung up on a comment I made in jest to my Wolves mates on our Wolves board. IF, if you get any compensation, it won't be anything much. That was the jist of that comment. Also, the next time you chime into a discussion on another teams board, instead of going ballistic at someone about a comment, ask them for clarification. Then again, forget it. It is obvious that you don't really care about having a meaningful discussion, you just want to cry and complain.

Go :waaa: on your own board.

No going ballistic at all. No crying, just watching you back peddle. Your wrong and all of the sudden you made the comment in jest. What happened to being knowledgeable? What happened to having a good argument? Hard to have a good argument without any facts to back it up eh? Lame.

sure troll,

Again, the next time you chime into a discussion on another teams board, instead of going ballistic at someone about a comment they made, ask them for clarification. You saw what you wanted to see and refused to listen to anything else. It's obvious that you just came to cry & complain.

Next time save it for your own board.

Devilzsidewalk wrote:I definitely think his view is way off. Rubio was the obvious pick at #5, nobody can argue that. Now at 6, who else are you going to pick, Derozan? Hill? Obviously not. There's only 2 viable choices and they're both PGs so whats the big deal? There's a lot of examples of good and great players that match the Jonny Flynn blueprint, but who matches the Curry blueprint, Jeff Hornacek? Jerry West? There's really nobody in the recent era to compare him to, thats a bigger risk to me.

And if your Rubio and you want to handle the ball, you're going to prefer Curry? The guy who's grown accustomed to controlling every single possession for the past 3 years? That makes sense.

I mostly agree, but I do think the Wolves could have taken Derozan or Hill or whoever they wanted really. I thought based on the info coming in before the draft that the consensus 6-8 guys were Curry, Flynn and Hill. The Wolves could taken Curry or Hill and tried to sell the better fit, but it would have been just a sell job, or as Bucher said, an attempt "to win the press conference". Neither Curry or Hill is a great fit either, so the best move has to be to take the BPA or reach for someone who is a good fit.

I'm convinced Curry will never shoot much better than 40% from the field as a full time scorer. Flynn was the right pick.

How a bout a thread dedicating to bashing Curry and Derozan's summer league performances, and propping Flynn's?

I would bet heavily that if we'd taken Curry at 6, tons of people would rip the wolves for:

1) Picking two PGs
2) Picking a 2nd guard who "needs the ball in his hands" just like Rubio
3) Having a small "SG" who won't be able to guard anyone

If it was Derozan it would be:

1: They picked two guards who can't shoot
2: They reached heavily for Derozan

OJ Mayo is one of the best defenders in the league, hes a two way player and hes a great passer and playmaker.

I think people convinced themselves that Stephen Curry is excellent off the ball because he can shoot. Have we ever seen him play without the ball?
