"Outliers" by Malcom Gladwell has a fascinating section about IQ that seems to apply to that thread.

How was Flynn's performance? I only watched the beginning and he took bad shots but seemed to know how to create.

Yeah, that kind of sums up his performance today. Took some bad shots, but created very well. Turned the ball over a little too much, too.

Not a bad effort for the first SL game I guess. Good to see Brewer back, and it looks like Pecherov has a decent outside game for a big guy.

I don't see anything special about Brewer, I think Rodney Carney will be way better.

I wrote up a player-by-player breakdown of our first summer league game in my blog...link. It's also linked in my sig

It would be much appreciated if anyone would like to actually read my blog entry...if you want to post any highlights of it here for further discussion, that's fine (hopefully there is something resembling a highlight in there).

It's mostly what I saw out of everybody offensively. Hopefully I can add in more defensive scouting with tomorrow's game.

Flynn, Ellington, Brewer and Siler probably got the longest segments in there.

Critiques/constructive criticism?

if they stick with this roster for the year, things could get ugly. Telfair and Flynn are our only off the dribble creators on the team. If one gets injured or slumps, then you have Gomes, Brewer, & Ellington in too many situations where they have the defender in their face and are forced to try and break em down w/ the clock running down. Hopefully Gomes is spending the offseason getting quick because he's our best chance. Help me Ryan Gomes, you're my only hope.

its also why we can't just dump Craig Smith for no good reason, he's probably our 2nd best isolation scorer on the team after Al and w/ Al likely less than 100%, we're gonna need to lean on him for offense and let him face up from 15 and go to work.

Any thoughts on Siler from those who watched the game? Looks like he had a decent game. 6 pts 7 rebs on 3-5 shooting in 24+ minutes (2nd most on the team behind Flynn)
