o my gosh! That's a great idea!

It'd be like when we never could get Marbury and KG together again. This is our second chance to bring back a great duo!

What's up with the Joe Alexander hate round here? He has a very good post up game, great size, is athletic as crap and can shoot a lil to top it off. What's not to like?

The Bucks board has already dubbed him a bust, apparently he looked terrible last season.

Yeah, according to my sources in Milwaukee(a.k.a. college drinking buddies), Alexander looked lost, underdeveloped, clueless and just plain bad last year. He showed a glimmer of hope in summer league, though, and I'm not sure that the front office in Milwaukee would give up on Alexander as quickly as many of the fans have.
"A while back,'' Cardinal said, "I took a picture of the standings and texted it to Love, just to bust his chops,'' Cardinal said. "He sent me a picture back of a snowdrift.''

This move does seem like a move to make another move. Maybe the trigger was pulled to tell Rubio that he's our guy, opening the door for him to play with us this season. It might also mean we move Qrich's exp. and Flynn before he gets here. I haven't looked at the rosters so I could be way off but doesn't Sacramento want to get rid of Kenny Thomas' big contract? could the draft day deal resurface. Qrich is an exp. contract, which might make it more enticing for Sac. to shed a salary and get Flynn back in the process.
something like -
Sac. Thomas and Evans
Min. Qrich and Flynn

I want to see a draft for something of value vs. solid college players/no NBA scrubs (Morrison)

Substitute Rubio for Flynn and we might have a deal, maybe picks involved too, want to keep Flynn here

realistically i don't think they would want Rubio and maybe would rather keep Evans and build around him and ship out Martin?

keeping Evans might be Sac town's feelings, but I'm not sure Martin make the most sense for us. I'm thinking Kahn wants a "superstar" caliber player for either Flynn or Rubio, and i think he's still in love with Evans from the pre-draft camp...or maybe i am.... If we make the move to trade Rubio, I wouldn't be opposed to taking Evans, Kenny Thomas, and either Hawes or Thompson plus an unprotected 1st round pick. I just have a hard time believing Sac. wants Rubio when they could have taken him during the draft. (of course they could have taken Flynn there as well, but if you do so you lose value with the #4 pick.)

It would be amusing to hear what the SAC fans say about that trade, since on the Trade Board, they compared Thompson to Chris Bosh, but "Thompson is a better overall basketball player."

OJ Mayo is one of the best defenders in the league, hes a two way player and hes a great passer and playmaker.

Yeah, its 4-for-1, but we use the $1.7 to buy out Scalabrine, and we get a couple prospects at position of need for no cost.

no way would boston EVER consider that. they are high on the allen family and Scal is their big shooter aside from sheed. and they would keep grooming walker and giddens anyway.

I think the most likely scenario of trading Richardson comes after his trade restrictions have been removed and he can be packaged with a second expiring like Cardinal or Thomas with one of our surplus 1st's for a quality starter at SG or SF that a team can't really afford to keep going forward.

Gerald Wallace
Michael Redd
Rip Hamilton
Luol Deng
Michael Redd
Jason Richardson
Kevin Martin
Shane Battier
Josh Howard

My take on this Wolves roster is that finding stars to build around is already done with Jefferson and Rubio to be viewed as the longterm building blocks. What they require to be successful as a franchise is quality supporting cast with as few holes in the lineup as possible.

I don't think its a likely scenario to expect the Wolves to be able to land one of the truely elite free agents but I do think they can use the cap space to aquire a quality piece or two via trade who once they're here will not be hard to keep.

Selling a highly visable free agent on a young team in a cold market is hard to imagine but selling a high quality player on staying here once they are already on board isn't.

Having a solid supporting cast makes Rubio and company easier to re-sign down the road just as having him and Jefferson makes keeping high quality veterans happy to stay.
