Yes, looks like NO is not in nearly as much financial trouble as we were led to believe. However, as Hollinger pointed out, even though the total $ committment is much greater with Okafor ($40M), the instant savings of $1.1M may enable NO to stay under the tax line for this year and next. They also have a front court player to team with CP3 for a good stretch of time. I see this trade as a firm statement from the NO FO that CP3 absolutely will not be traded. Good for them.
