I don't necessarily think it's outlandish, just way too specific and still kind of unlikely. At Jefferson's age, he kind of is what he is. That's not to say he can't improve, just that we have a good understanding of what type of player he is. He's never going to be a great passer, a great defender, or great at getting to the free throw line, but if he improves in all of those areas just a little bit it can make a big impact.

I have protected through 2011 as well.

May I ask something here......I thought a Al Jefferson was a stud, but from reading these boards he sounds more like Zach Randolph 2.0.

My impression was good rebounder, shoots good FG%, soft touch (no homo lol), and no character issues, essentially the building block for your franchise. But I've read a lot about how Love/Jefferson is redundant and many have said trade JEFFERSON not Love. That's probably due to contract not just talent becuase I'm sure everyone would agree Jefferson's better than Love, but he definitely doesn't seem untouchable or as loved in the organization as an outsider would guess.

Am I somewhat accurate or completely off base? Do you want him on your team for the future?

The reason people are saying to trade Al over Love is that Al has more trade value and would bring more back in a trade.

Isn't that because he's more valuable? When you guys won like 8 of 10 or some streak last year, Big Al was the main reason I'd thought.

Exactly. Right now, Al is the better of the two.
