Pecherov exploded for 29 points and 17 rebounds (again) as Ukraine defeated Estonia in a very tight game.

Boxscore: http://www.eurobasket2009.org/en/cid_0F ... mID_.html#{5E70D78D-E480-4F66-9B60-839D032EE21A}

Pecherov is averaging 16 ppg 55% FG and 89% FT, 9.6 rpg, 0.4 ast, 1 blk, 2 PF, 2 TO in 26 min per game. Not bad for a 23 years old, considering the competition level is much better than NBA's summer league.

Ukraine faces Czech Republic (they lost to Hungary 70x55) next.

Well, it's nice to know that we traded for a younger version of Dirk.

OJ Mayo is one of the best defenders in the league, hes a two way player and hes a great passer and playmaker.

I temper my enthusiasm considering nobody on Estonia;s team (possibly their whole country) can match Pecherov's height, but great to see him doing what he's supposed to do and taking care of business

Actualy Estonia has a couple tall players, but. their starting center was about 2.5 inches shorter than Pecherov and he fouled out. Estonia is the northern country between Latvia and Russia, so yea they are kinda tall. Overall yes it is great to see him doing his business and leading his team (Pecherov's also one of the oldest players in the team).

Pecherov is not the Wolves solution, but he is definitely better than Gortat. He just needs a coach that can trust him and who will give him some minutes to show his game.

Pecherov had another good game as team Ukraine defeated Czech Republic, 82-70.

21 pts (9/12), 10 boards, 2 blk and 2 ast.

Boxscore: http://www.eurobasket2009.org/en/cid_to ... 12-6.html#{5E70D78D-E480-4F66-9B60-839D032EE21A}

With the victory, team Ukraine secured the rights to keep playing in Europe's main division and Pecherov should travel back to 'Sota now.
