I'm probably going to regret poking a sacred cow, but I have to say that I'm not as gung ho on CanisHoopus as most. Its a good site with lots of incisive information, but they get a lot of stuff wrong too, and I think the Canis Gameplan shows more wrong than right.
While I was a longtime advocate of "Miller + Cardinal to Cleveland for Wally" to have more flexibility in 2009, when that didn't happen, I didn't like SnP's plan.
PG: Rubio was obvious if we could get him, though I was no fan of Sessions at the mid-point of last season. No mention of Flynn, but that may be understandable at that time of the season
The SF position wasn't addressed at all:
SnP wrote: Marvin Williams (FA/T)
Trevor Ariza (FA)
Andrei Kirilenko (T)
Caron Butler/Gerald Wallace (T)
Tayshaun Prince (T)
Earl Clark (D)
Chase Budinger (D)
Kyle Singler (D)
.. and in later threads, he's clung to the idea of adding Andrei Kirilenko, despite the health risks, position risks (can he still even play SF effectively?), and worst of all, $17.8 mil in 2010-11 salary. He even has him harder to acquire than Caron Butler, Tayshaun Prince, Gerald Wallace and Rubio!
As for the "Hoopus Prediction"
SnP wrote: Kevin McHale will remain at the head of the bench and Ron/Fred/Jim will man the front office with input from the head coach.
Look, I like Canis Hoopus as much as the next guy (well, if the next guy isn't rev), and I'm thrilled with their stat analysis, which I couldn't come close to approaching. But they have some flaws as well, particularly on the financial side of the ball. I find them to be a terrific resource in their sweet spot, but just one source
