shooting those jumpers makes the high inside percentage possible. A guy like Al has to keep his defender off balance, his can't just out-athleticism people

jump hooks are not included in Jumpers unless they are far from the rim.

He shot more jumpers than you remember.

He held the ball a long time when he was doing "his thing" [all the spin moves etc.] down low.

He generally shot the jumper much faster.

If he shot a 15 foot jump hook that might be counted as a jumper. But those were few and far between.

Its more measured by distance from the rim than style of shot.

Yeah sometimes but he took nearly 20 shots a game last season, theres no way that half of them were jumpers. He has a lot of range on his hook shot, looking at shot charts it would be pretty easy to mistake some of his ranged jump-hooks as jump shots.
