I know everyone's high from riding the Minnesota sports wave right now, but think about it.

You're totally right, the Yankees ALWAYS win, the Twins shouldn't even show up at the game. They should have just been happy with last night, and then went home.

Shut up. I understand what you're getting at, but your arrogance makes you a troll. Look forward to a great series, play-off baseball, and quit being a d-bag.

Hey sorry man. I didn't mean to sound like a troll or a d-bag. I just thought it might bring up some good baseball conversation since the NFL and MLB forums on this site are always dead.

Yankees are my favorite team but the Twins are a close second. I mean, it's really hard to not be a fan of the Twins, especially when I've been a resident of Minnesota for 16 years and have seen the Twins play as clutch as they do. I just don't think they have what it takes to beat the Yankees.

Honestly, I wouldn't be upset if the Twins upset the Yankees. It should be a great series, like you said.

Yankees are going to be huge favorites, but it's a short series, Twins have a chip and a chair as PA says

You're right. P.A. mentioned on KFAN this morning that if you look at the last 8 days, its been incredible. Favre with the game-winning TD last week, and the Monday night battle with Green Bay, the Twins sweeping Kansas City and Greinke, and last night's extra inning game?

P.A. said that our fans often have to deal with MIN being sports flyover country, but its been the center of the sports universe for the last ten days.

No one on ESPN is giving the Twins a chance, I love it. But yeah, good baseball discussion doesn't start with, "Twins have no chance."

If nothing else, I hope the Twins win just to prove, yet again, that you don't need an overly bloated salary to win.

With that said. I expect a sweep. :(

can we pay a cab driver to pick up Tex and A-Rod and turn the child locks on and drive to Mexico?

I'm aiming my expectations low. Basically if Duensing can get through the night and handle his jitters without pooping his pants I'll consider it a success.

If he poops his pants on national TV right on the mound, I'll consider that better than a World Series run. That's just good TV right there.

thats true, I didn't properly analyze all the angles involved

from best to worst
1. Duensing perfect game on 27 pitches, or else 27 strikeouts.
2. Duensing beans A-Rod in the chest and the ball goes through his body and makes a baseball outline and you can see fans behind homeplate through the hole and A-Rod stands their for 5 seconds with an "OH ****" expression before falling dead backwards like the T-1000 at the end of Terminator 2 when that explosive shell goes off in his torso.
3. Duensing pulls out a playboy on the mound, lays down and starts masturbating.
4. Duensing poohs his pants and it runs out of his pant leg.
5. Duensing brushes Tex in the jersey with the bases load in extra innings, and they rightfully don't award him first base because what the hell kind of pussy society awards people bases when a baseball breezes against your jersey but is still 4 inches from your body, are you **** serious, you actually think thats unfair? Please try to be less of a vag for once in your life.

ShoeStore just took a pooh on the Detroit Pussycats. I love it. Death to A-Rod would make me smile as well.

It's at 6:07 EST on TBS.

I don't think you guys have to worry about Rodriguez. He always chokes in the postseason. I'm not depending on him for the Yankees to win. Thankfully, the Yankees don't have to either, anymore.
