Hell, I would to if I were him.... someone will throw max money at him more than likely.... hopefully NOT us.
I'd take him, but not at max.

Re: Joe Johnson Free Agent
He would be the perfect fit if he was 2 years younger.
Johnson wouldn't be the worst guy to spend our cap space for. But I guess it is very unlikely that he signs here because he wants to win now and contend...which he won't be able to do with the Wolves for another 3 years.

I don't think he's a perfect fit at all, far from it actually. With Flynn and Sessions and/or Rubio in tow, a better fit would be someone that is better suited to play off the ball. Johnson thrives with the ball in his hands, much like those players named and Big Al. A better fit for us would be a younger version of Ray Allen, instead of a younger version of Joe Johnson. I'm not sure who that equates to though...

Kevin Martin, Rip Hamilton, and Reggie Miller are all good examples of who we should be looking for on the wing.

Even if we don't sign him, another expensive free agent (if he reaches FA) will use up somebody's cap money, and make ours more valuable.

2010 free agency class sucks if you're not going to get one of the 03 draft class guys. Joe Johnson or Rudy Gay as best case scenarios? Pass and double pass.

Good point. Plus, maybe he wants to Run and Gun again?

Definitely, Gay is like a small forward version of Al Jefferson, one is enough for this team.TheFranchise21 wrote:Johnson > Gay.
