"He might if Brewer's jumper doesn't improve this year. Kahn said this summer and repeated in the fall, that Gomes and Brewer were "on notice" and needed to prove things to be part of the wolves long term plans. For Brewer its shooting a "decent" percentage. "

Not trying to be nit-picky, but Brewer is not on notice to shoot a decent percentage (though it is expected) ... he's expected to raise his defensive play and rebounding. His J-shot actually looks good and it'll come, but he really needs to finish transition baskets. If he can hit 40% over the season he'll be in good shape.
Gomes? I think he will be traded well before they consider trading Brewer. Yes, Gomes is such a nice guy and everything, but I can see the need for him to start showing up every night. His intensity is average at best, plus, he's relatively slow up and down the floor while playing on a team that wants to run ... not adding up. his only chance of staying is that he's fair priced.

from Orlando paper.....
Credit Timberwolves President David Kahn for his candor when it comes to last week's extension granted to former University of Florida forward Corey Brewer. "I do believe this is a trader's league right now," Kahn told the Pioneer Press, essentially reducing the wayward-shooting Brewer to little more than a trade chip. Of Brewer's inaccuracy, Kahn said, "He has to become a reliable shooter in this league or he won't play."
