Why would you ever think that we would trade a 21 year old double-double machine AND take salary off your hands for your scraps?
I can't even wrap my head around taking Taj Gibson off the table in a Love trade. Talk about a slap in the face.
Thriving on mediocrity since '89.

I have no idea why Taj is off limits. That's pretty confusing.
But you definitely can't have Devin Brown. That dude's Weapon X.

In seriousness, I think Love is the reason you guys will trade Al Jefferson sooner or later. As a Bulls fan, I would really hope that Deng, James Johnson, and our 2010 pick will be sufficient compensation to move him. But I'm an optimist.

My god. Deng is an overpaid underachiever, Tyrus is flashy with no consistency, Hinrich is also way overpaid and underperforms, Salmons is nothing special, Miller is old and washed up and never was as good as love is or will be....wow
Come on back when you are ready to be serious.
Great Post. 6 more and you'll match the T-Wolves wins this season. Like I said, It never heards to see what others think. Im sure Lakers fans didn't think Kwame Brown was going to net them Gasol, before that happen.

I have over 1500 posts at the forum I usually post on. But this was too good to pass up. And are you seriously comparing the Gasol situation with the Grizz to Kevin Love? Did you follow that situation at all?

So what you're saying is that Mark Blount for Derrick Rose is a very real possibility?

This should be sent out to all the other team boards. lol

Wow GM_James. You don't know what the Gasol trade actually entailed do you?
Kwame Brown was in the deal as cap relief to match salaries with Pau Gasol. Memphis ended up with his very talented brother Marc being paid dirt cheap, Donte Greene, a trial run of Crittenton (who looked like a worthwhile prospect at the time), and a 2010 first round pick. And all for less than half the price of Pau Gasol, which allowed them to use his salary on someone else (Zach Randolph, as it turns out).
I think Memphis is pretty happy with the trade. So are the Lakers, for that matter. But the value was actually pretty good for Memphis.

No it wasn't. Spare me the "very talented Marc Gasol" talk, he was essentially a 2nd rounder at the time. Basically what LAL gave up for Pau was equivalent to Wolves getting Amare right now for: Blount's expiring contract, rights to Pecovic, Sessions and Utah's 1st. Also known as "highway robbery".

And that package actually is BETTER than what Lakers gave up. Utah's pick will most certanly be higher than LA's was, Sessions is a more established player than Crittenton and Pecovic is a more regarded player in Europe right now than Marc was at the time.
