I don't know about that, the fact that he's probably going to spend another year in Europe lowers his value.

Well, if New Jersey finishes as the worst team (very likely), then they'll end up with the 3rd or 4th pick 53.5% or most of the time. If you read through the thread in the trade section that showed up in response to the "Wall or Bust for New Jersey" headline, the consensus seemed to be that New Jersey would retain their pick at the 1st or 2nd slot, but be willing to trade it for Rubio at the 3rd or 4th slot. The odds favor New Jersey picking at 3 or 4, so I'm going to stand by my (highly speculative) assertion.

I think Kahn did fine. The only fault was signing Pavlovic which wasn't forseeable at that time. I remember thinking it was nice to sign him.

I can't say signing Pavlovic was a bad move. It was completely irrelevant. It was roster filler.

Exactly, as much as everyone here may not like the guy, he didnt get a longterm deal, he makes little money, and we didnt have to give up anything to get him. If anything, the problem wasnt signing him, it was Rambis giving him minutes. But even still, I think its good Ellington isnt getting 30+ minutes out the gate. Though a Tucker sighting would be nice, I cant really complain about signing an 9-10th man in a development year

Strike one: Supercoolbeas
Strike two: He was supercoolrelieved when MN didn't get a top-2 pick.
Strike three: Been in supercoolrehab already.

I wouldn't complain if Sasha would play at least representable basketball.

I agree it's so unimportant to almost be rendered moot. But, in hindsight I would have rather given more minutes to Ellington, or to have tried and develop a d-leaguer like the Warriors have successfully done.

Sasha was a necessity. Every bad team needs a scapegoat, may as well be a Ukranian.
"A while back,'' Cardinal said, "I took a picture of the standings and texted it to Love, just to bust his chops,'' Cardinal said. "He sent me a picture back of a snowdrift.''

All through pre-draft Calathes looked like a good player to have on the team, even if he was going overseas and I was disappointed they gave him up for nothing especially when I think Budinger went in between their two picks. But I guess to fall that low there must have been something wrong with him but I just thought he would have been a good stash pick.

It was Danny Green who went in between

My mistake. Did he go around there though? I remember thinking it would be cool if the team could get him.
