I imagine if they were significant they would have had to involve Big Al.

Kahn told Al he would not be traded this season -- wants to stay true to his word.

Rumors that Kahn is looking to trade Al for a wing.

Kahn brought in Darko to save face so he can at least say he gave the Al/Kevin thing a shot. After the season he can say that they didn't think it could work.

If it was a trade involving expiring contracts, the same deal will most likely not be plausible in the summer because of our limited cap space.

A big Al package would net a lottery pick and teams don't want to deal their picks before the lottery.

Players in the Big Al sweepstakes: Bulls, Kings, Pistons, Thunder, Warriors, Nets, Pacers, Lakers

Ellis makes me cringe. And that's before I think about his contract.

I call shenanigans, you just want to keep something in your hip pocket in case you feel like taking another sabbatical

A Bynum-Jefferson swap with the Lakers this summer wouldn't shock me.

Bynum would fit well next to Love, and he doesn't turn 23 until next fall. He also already knows the triangle, so transition would be easier.

The Lakers have a very highly paid Pau Gasol locked up to play center for the next 4-5 years, and Jefferson is an offensive upgrade over Bynum, reasonably young, and on a better contract.

We all know that Kahn wants to run, and that rambis wants players who can share the ball and play uptempo as well.

These hunches paired with the fact that any deals after the season can't include expirings leads me to believe that Flynn and Jefferson are gone for some player's who can run. Since this is Kahn we are talking about, I'm expecting more than 2 teams being involved, with a great player, prospects, picks, and one ugly contract coming our way.

I like the idea of maybe both of them to Indy for their pick, Murphy (if not exp. I don't know if he is or not), and some athletic wing coming from a third team.

I wish NJ would do Al for Lopez, I'd be all over that. Maybe if the lotto plays out as NJ @ 1 and MN @ 2, we can also get harris because NJ will get Wall. Kahn is moving to get who he wants in the upcoming draft, while also getting an all star level player, for pretty much anyone while keeping 2 of Love, Pek, Jefferson.

I see why you think Al is a goner, but why Flynn?

I don't think Flynn is a goner, but will go if needed. I think because of Rubio, and Sessions, (and potentially Wall), Flynn may be expendible. I also think he would really thrive in a different place, but that's mostly my triangle/rambis bias. I don't want to see Flynn go, I actually really like his game and personality, I just think that he may not fit our system as well as another teams, and if a team is willing to overpay I wouldn't object.
