I'm not sure, but I think when they mention attendance growth they're talking about from the beginning of this year to now, not last year. I'd believe that, since the crowds appear louder and larger on TV than they did at the start of the year. A lot of that has to do with the promotions and cheapness, but it does make the games more enjoyable to watch when you don't have to see a completely dead arena on TV.
