2000 1.2 Grizzlies Stromile Swift
2001 1.2 Clippers Bulls Tyson Chandler
2002 1.2 Bulls Jay Williams
2003 1.2 Pistons Darko Milicic
2004 1.2 Bobcats Emeka Okafor
2005 1.2 Hawks Marvin Williams
2006 1.2 Bulls Trailblazers LaMarcus Aldridge
2007 1.2 SuperSonics Kevin Durant
2008 1.2 Heat Michael Beasley
2009 1.2 Grizzlies Hasheem Thabeet

Should we be worried about the #2 pick being a buster?

Depends on how confident we are in Kahn's draft abilities. Most of those guys turned out well, and of the "busts," Darko, Marvin, and Thabeet were terrible mistakes when they were drafted, and most people recognized that. Jay Williams would have been great if not for the accident, and Swift was in the worst draft ever, where almost every lottery pick was a bust.

So I guess I'm not that worried about it; if we somehow get #2, I fully expect Turner to be drafted, and I think he's pretty unlikely to bust.

OJ Mayo is one of the best defenders in the league, hes a two way player and hes a great passer and playmaker.

A chunk of those #2 picks were huge reaches at the time, Thabeet, Darko, Williams, Chandler were all teams thinking crazy or trying to hit a 6 run Grand Slam. Even in 08 Beasley was a questionable #2 with Mayo and Lopez still on the board.

The last time a draft was loaded at the top with 2 pretty sure studs we got a Laettner... Wesley Johnson is this years Laettner. Any bets on our getting the #3 pick?

Your party has approached the dreaded David Stern, he begins casting LVL 6 Draft Hex. A 20 sided die is gently placed 20 up, resulting in automatic critical hit, bypassing any saving throws, you will pick #5.

I think that's some revisionist history. Beasley was pretty surefire #2 pick. Riley reportedly considered Mayo and everyone thought he was crazy. Nobody considered Lopez at #2.

It's weird how some picks seem to have a better mojo. Pick 10 always seems to get good players, Paul Pierce, Caron Butler, Brook Lopez, Brandon Jennings, Joe Johnson, Andrew Bynum. I think it's all coincidence though.
