That's so unrealistic, you couldn't even get your fingers to type "realistic."

The absolute upside of Turner is Roy, and with Brand's $50 mil in salary, I think there's a question whether a team would offer that much talent and cap relief for Roy. Turner will be good, but if you have to hope he'll be the equal to Brandon Roy just to break even .. you're just being ridiculous.

God, that would be brutal.

This is bad news:

DraftExpress
Wesley Johnson at the NBA Combine Media session. He's a really impressive interview. http://tweetphoto.com/23203453

Kahn will like him then, much like he fell for Johnny

I'm already practicing my rationalization. Sure Cousins was BPA, but he didn't fit our system. He was a loose cannon and we couldn't afford to miss on this pick.

Don't speak in absolutes about these guys. Cousins could be a complete bust in 2 years and Johnson could be a stud. Then we would look a bit foolish.

I could only imagine before the draft Warriors fans claimed Joe Smith was an All-star in the making, while saying Garnett is a complete headcase and a scrub.

Huge Wes Johnson supporter. But yeah, I've said a few times already that Kahn is a dead man if he passes on Cousins. I mean, people should be throwing bricks through his windows if that happens. We can get Wes via a trade.

I'm personally preparing myself to become a bandwagon Bulls fan if we screw up and take Johnson. :(

Cousins may have very real bust potential, a la SuperCoolBeas. It's up to Kahn and Co. to figure this crap out. If Kahn picks someone else and Cousins ends up flaming out. If he picks someone else and Cousins turns into a top center, get out the pitchforks.

With the way we are talking up Cousins and have already accepted and started to like the idea of taking him, it might not take long for him to jump into NJ's and PHI discussion. Probably just NJ though, and then we get to take a more complimentary piece in Favors. If we want Wes Johnson, we are probably going to take Cousins at 4 then pickswap or trade down with SAC or GS.

Actually, looking at Draftexpress, 4 months ago Cousins was projected to go at 9.

But it doesn't really matter, 4 months before the 08 draft, Westbrook wasn't expected to be drafted at all. Now he's probably the 2nd best player from his class. Thing's change.

I think he was late lotto-ish because of character concerns, but then he went and had one of the best freshman years in a decade
