Post#1 » by dice » Fri May 21, 2010 2:29 am

i go board to board and get each team's pick. last year the wolves board took tyreke evans at #5, demar derozan at #6, gerald henderson at #18, and patrick mills at #28

this year's draft thus far:

i'll hold the voting open as long as necessary

Cousins isn't the greatest fit but he's the best player so it has to be him.

Cousins for me as well although I think he will bust... but as bad as we are we have t take the guy with chance to be a star

Trade Big Al to Sac for the #5 and take Johnson as well! Makes up for not getting Turner

Will the Contrarian Club come to order?
The Minnesota Timberwolves select, Wesley Johnson.

Book it.

Wes Johnson. Unless we trade Al for Iggy, then Cousins :)

I want Wes Johnson on this team badly. But I know we should probably pick Cousins. So Cuz is my vote, I guess.

yea, I am at the stage where if we cannot get turner then I want Cousins and either AFA or Johnson. (In that order)

I agree with this (except I'd rather have Johnson than AFA)

I had to take a couple days to accept the fact that it will be next to impossible for us to get Turner, so plan B should be Cousins and Johnson.

That said, by accepting that we're going to take Cousins and keep him (which I'm still not 100% convinced of) we are basically accepting that we're going to trade Al, and it's almost like starting another rebuild, which scares me a bit. If we do, we should rebuild around Rubio, so we'll want athleticism and shooting. While AFA and Johnson are both crazy athletic, I want Johnson for his shooting.

Again, taking AFA is a rebuilding project unto itself. Unless you want him as your PF, that is. He's not a good fit at SF for us at all.

Cousins. Definitely BPA...take him (and the kid is a legit Center, not another PF) and use trades to balance the roster afterwards.

How many votes do you need? I think Cousins has about 8 and Johnson has 2. I'm going Cousins as well. Even though we have a glut of grounded bigs, you gotta go BPA.
