Kevin Love
Ryan Gomes
Corey Brewer
Jonny Flynn
#4

for

Gilbert Arenas
#1

We move up 3 spots because Arenas is such a negative asset at this point.

Wolves run with:
Rubio/Sessions
Arenas
Turner
Al Jefferson
Darko

Wiz run:
Flynn
Brewer/Young
Howard/Thornton
Love/Blatche/McGee
Cousins/Blatche/McGee

Or they could select Wesley Johnson too.

CRAZY!

I'd pass, aren't Philly fans saying it'd take Love + #4 for #2? Well I'd rather do that then have to give up in addition Gomes, Brewer, Flynn, and take in Arenas to get the #1

Well to me I'd rather have that superstar type player. Only question is has Gilbert learned his lesson.

Looking at that trade u suggested, Love and Wesley Johnson together is much better than just Evan Turner imo.

No. We would be screwed for years to come with Arenas contract.

Arenas next to Rubio would be awful. Both of them kind of need the ball in their hands most of the time to work their magic and be as effective as possible. But... bare with me a second here... if we could combine the two, like that movie the fly. We'd get an ultra hybrid that has the super scoring skills of Arenas, the mad dribbles of Rubio, has ultra dreamy wavy hair, and knows how to protect his family with loaded firearms in the lockeroom. Basketball fans, women, and the NRA would all drool over him.

I'm not suggesting it, Philly wants Love and #4 for #2 to get Turner

You include #4 and Love to get the #1 pick Turner (which is equivalent to what it'd take to get the #2).

Plus then you add on Gomes, Brewer, Flynn for Arenas... Arenas for sure does not have that kind of value. Arenas could almost for sure be gotten for expirings, instead you send them raw cap space (worth more then expirings) + Gomes's unguaranteed deal (worth more then expirings) + Brewer (worth more then expirings) + Flynn (worth more then expirings).

-If we traded for Arenas, we might as well include other teams as well. Ship Flynn + Gomes to Indiana for the #10 (for us) + Foster (expiring to Wsh). Maybe raw cap space to New York for Curry (to Wsh) + Gallinari (for us).

Then we'd have
Arenas/Sessions/(Rubio)
Turner/Ellington
Gallinari/George (#10)
Jefferson/Sanders (#16)
Darko/Pekovic

-I still don't like it, but it would at least be better for us.

Love that post Skorff. Again, this is a crazy deal so any comeback is fine. I never thought of it the way you just said it. If anything I figured Wiz would be the ones to say no. If we do this trade it is because we approve of Arenas somehow changing (be it thru a learned lesson last year or some type of support system we provide that he currently does not have). If Arenas buys into our plan then I think the talent level increase is worth the risk, but that's a huge if.

I think Wiz are pretty set on getting John Wall, so us taking on Arenas' contract isn't enough to get them to do the deal. In my deal they are no getting their superstar and many wiz fans would prefer to get the superstar and just give Arenas the "Marbury treatment". Who knows, but you have to admit that it's fun to imagine a Rube, Turner and Arenas backcourt
