Phi/MN -- not what you think

I noticed on the Phili board that there is discussion about moving Thad for a center. Well, I'n not a huge fan of Thad, but he is still only 21, and could potentially be a long term fit at SF for us. The Phili board is dropping names like Koufos and Mullens, but not exactly in the context of directly for Thad.

How about something centered around Pekovic for Young?

Since Pekovic is notoriously undervalued on these boards we may need to add #23 or Ellington (they also need shooting).

I'd rather get Johnson, but if that doesn't happen I would (be pissed and would) consider this. Sure.

I think Young's proven he's a lot better at power forward then small forward so I doubt he'd be a long term fit. I'd rather have Pekovic tbh.

Young is only 21. He's younger than a third of the players in the first round. Pekovic is 25.

but can you name one area where Young is legitimately really talented? shooting, no, defense, no, slashing, no, rebounding, no, playmaking, no, etc. Pekovic might be a really good low post scorer, we'll have to see him in the NBA, but its a legit building block. Young has made his name by being quicker than PFs, but his lateral quickness at SF in breaking down defenses and covering guys off the dribble has disappointed. If I'm off base, somebody correct me

SF- W. Johnson/Thad
SG- Brewer/George
PG-Flynn/Sessions/(Rubio)

The thing is would there be enough playing time for both? Assuming we get Johnson via trade. Would we bring in Thad off the bench or is he still starter worthy?
