Re: MIN - PHI - SAC
Have you posted either one of these trades on the trade board? Would be interested to see the reaction it would get...

Re: MIN - PHI - SAC
Are you doing this post July1? Because otherwise it fails to salary-match on sacto's end.
Since we are gaining the most (2+5) we are probably going to be the ones who end up with the bad contracts. Prince for Noc doesn't work either.
Very hard to salary match for Sacto because the small deals are all guys they'd like to keep.

Re: MIN - PHI - SAC
Sac Gives: Nocioni+5
Sac Receives: Love+Green
Min Gives: Love, Gomes, 4,16
Min Receives: Nocioni, 2, 5 (turner/Johnson)
Phi Trades: Green, 2
Phi Receives: Gomes, 4, 16
This would be enought to get Philly under the lux, and sacto dumps Nocioni.
It could also work as 2 separate trades.
Here's a bigger one:
Sac Gives: 5, Nocioni, Hawes
Sac Receives: 7, 16, Dalembert
Min Trades: 4, 16, 23, Jefferson, Gomes
Min Receives: 2, 5, Nocioni, Kapono
Phi Trades: 2, Dalembert, Kapono
Phi Receives: 4, 23, Hawes, Prince, Gomes
Det Trades: 7, Prince
Det Receives: Jefferson
Sac Receives: Love+Green

Don't think there is a way to convince Philly taking on Nocioni. I think it would be us who have to take on Nocioni.

Good point younggunsmn.
I wonder if it would be possible to sign-and-trade the #5 (Wes Johnson) on draft night to get SAC's numbers to work?

Re: MIN - PHI - SAC
I liked your last scenario shrink, unfortunately salary matching doesn't work. And for a deal involving this many draft picks changing hands, waiting until july 8th to execute it is really just not feasible.
Also throws a wrench into the nocioni5/prince7 rumored swap because that wouldn't work either.
Draft Picks can't sign until July 8th, and can't be traded for 2 months after they sign. So no.
With Sacto if you are trying to salary match,
you've got garcia and udrih who are untradeable due to their contracts.
then you've got evans, landry, hawes, casspi, thompson, and greene.
hawes was the most feasible to me for them to move, so I went with him
thinking hawes for 16 would probably be good value for him and phi might have some use for him.

I like the way you're thinking. If they are adding Monroe and also added Landry at the deadline. I imagine they have to choose whether they want to keep Hawes or Jason Thompson.
I'm reluctant to add a specific fifth team, but basically any team that would give a pick for one of these guys (and had the TPE or cap space) could complete this deal.

I'd say go back to the three-team trade... Detroit just complicates things.
SAC out: #5 + Nocioni, Hawes
SAC in: #16 + Jefferson
PHI out: #2 + Dalembert
PHI in: #4 + #23 + Nocioni + Hawes + $3mil in cap space
MIN out: #4 + #16 + #23 + Jefferson
MIN in: #2 + #5 + Dalembert
SAC out: #5 + Nocioni, Hawes
SAC in: #16 + Jefferson
PHI out: #2 + Dalembert
PHI in: #4 + #23 + Nocioni + Hawes + $3mil in cap space
MIN out: #4 + #16 + #23 + Jefferson
MIN in: #2 + #5 + Dalembert

Re: MIN - PHI - SAC
The Dalembert to Sacramento thing was a great idea. But to do that Sacramento has to send out about 9.7 million. Noc is only 7.5 mil. Hawes and Landry are entering the final years of their deals so that makes them the obvious choices for filler.

Yeah, but how do you get it to "work" and get PHI under the lux if you add in DET without making it very complicated or not making as much sense? Kapono can't be traded until the moratorium ends, so PHI can't easily shed extra cap to make it work - it would have to be someone like Smith being sent out which is a relatively small piece.
Detroit can be added back with Dalembert and #7 going to SAC, Prince to MIN, and Jefferson to DET. But I'm thinking more about PHI's side, not so much SAC or MIN.
SAC out: #5 + Nocioni, Hawes
SAC in: #7 + #16 + Dalembert
PHI out: #2 + Dalembert
PHI in: #4 + #23 + Nocioni + Hawes + $3mil in cap space
MIN out: #4 + #16 + #23 + Jefferson
MIN in: #2 + #5 + Prince
DET out: Prince, #7
DET in: Jefferson
What can PHI get to make it "sweeter" - even though I'm of the personal belief that it wouldn't need to be since Turner isn't >>> Cousins by any stretch, he's barely better - if at all.

Kapono could pick up his option today. Wouldn't that make him eligible to be traded?

Re: MIN - PHI - SAC
Kapono could come in and exercise his player option just like etan thomas did last year. But to have all that do down on draft night would be a little hairy. replace kapono with willie green and it's prettymuch the same deal with a little less cap savings for philly. the 2 deals I did above both work and get philly under the lux.
I'm starting to think a tradedown with GS is our most viable option, and I don't like that option a whole lot.

Re: MIN - PHI - SAC
Hawes looks like he'd fit best in DET, and they could afford the bump.
Hawes for Jerebko? Or maybe Daye? Send him to PHI, and PHI sends the #16 to SAC? Or is that too much? It gets hairy, because players tend to over-value their own youth.
And of course, mystery team 5 could simply take Hawes or Thompson for a pick and cap space, and solve all these problems.

You would be correct sir. I had his option mixed up with something else.

My thoughts as well. I like it, even with a number of the adjustments. MN could toss in a 2nd rounder or so to sweeten potentially, if needed.

Before I put it on the trade board, it needs to be vetted here first, and I think CK and YG have done a good job improving the basic concept.

I think the best thing to keep is the Kings getting Dally and the #7 and shipping out Nocioni and the #5. I think almost any other scenario involving them gets shot down. If they balk at this, then they are hypocrites.
Philly is going to be a tough sell no matter what. No amount of financial flexibility is going to impress them unless Brand goes and they end up with the #4. Which won't happen. Expect doctor him to throw a hissy fit.
Detroit is bored of the Prince +7 for Al, but don't let that deter you.

The Philadelphia 76ers have agreed to swap Samuel Dalembert to the Sacramento Kings for Andres Nocioni and Spencer Hawes, two league sources told ESPN.com.
