Rubio and Favors are both good defenders so I think they would be.

Yeah, and Johnson seems like he could be at worst a decent help defender with his length and athleticisim. Marion might actually be a pretty good comparision for him. Maybe better on offense and not as good on defense though.

I'm sure we all know that, but I'm sure some fans won't be patient enough to wait for a potential dynasty. I was basically saying I won't be suprised if these deadlines he keeps giving himself come back to haunt him.

This team is still split with Guys who McHale wanted who fit the inside-outside game, and guys Kahn wants who fit uptempo/defense/athletic game. Sooner or later (probably this offseason), I think it will sway completely to Kahns vision give or take 2 players. I think Brew, Love, and Al are the only players left from the McHale era anyway.

It's interesting. I wouldn't be surprised to see our starting line-up being something like this by the end of next year.

PG - Flynn/Sessions (one getting traded, the other will be holding the spot for Rubio)
SG - Brewer
SF - Johnson
PF - Randolph
C - Favors

or something along that line. It would be a running and defensively capable team, which is what I think they are trying to create. This would likely mean Jefferson and Love are traded to make it happen, but with the rumors are ideas floated about, who knows what will happen. Still, I would enjoy watching that team play, especially when Rubio made it over.

The T-Wolves will be back in the lottery next year and probably the year after.

Maybe we could squeeze Harrison Barnes in there.

Edit: Our starters could become bench players :o

I would sure hope that we had more something more than that(particularly at starting SG), since we already have the 4 and could just pick Johnson, while Love, Jefferson, Pekovic, the 16, the 23, and cap space is waaaaaaay too much to give for just Randolph and Favors.

OJ Mayo is one of the best defenders in the league, hes a two way player and hes a great passer and playmaker.

Would not surprise me if johnson was 1a and favors 1b. Johnson had an amazing time here and really impressed the right people.

I could see clearly their goal is to build a Foundation around rubio. Favors and Johnson might fit that better than anyone on the roster. I would put money on us finding a way to get both.

Hopefully :rocking:

I'm all for taking this road ...

Secondly, would it be safe to asume the Bosh situation has a huge impact on NJ's pick? If they feel good about getting Bosh along side Lopez, they could opt for Wes Johnson at #3. That would leave Favors at #4.

Considering there isn't a "can't miss" prospect at #4, why trade assets to stock up on more players in this draft unless you're talking turner.

There are some other guys between our #4 and #16 picks that interest me like George, but considering we will be in the lotto the next couple years at least, I would concentrate us assets on getting franchise type players on this team, not loading up on as many questionable/complimentary prospects from this draft as possible, that may not be starter material for a percieved playoff type team.

I'm hearing next year may be a better draft, and there are sign and trade possiblities, don't want to settle on Cousins or Johnson as the best prospect we come away with this offseason.

And definately don't want to deal Al and/or Love just to add an unfinished prospect like Favors...Cousins is the best talent available at #4, but I see attitude issuse bewteen being stuck on a rebuilding team, and he and Rambis not getting along.

Johnson to me looks like Brewer with a consistant jump shot.

Or we could take the fat, grounded, unmotivated, cant play more than 20 mins a game center to play with our fat, grounded, cant play more than 20 mins a game pf. They'll fit great with our never coming over overseas franchise foundation pg who is best built for a running game. What could go wrong?

I can see why you trend toward the hyperbolic doom and gloom approach! It's quite fun!

Maybe you should actually know what strange words like "hyperbole" mean before you use them...

Have you a better solution for this mess created by draft screwery...eh lottery?

"It takes a theory to beat a theory" is utter stupidity and propels the destructive tendency towards putting the importance of answers above that of the right questions/criticisms.
