Al was not suppose to be back until Jan 2010, yet was present and ready from day one. He averaged 17/9 and missed 6 games. The man is a warrior; his knees are hardly shot. His "down" year can better be attributed to a a confluence of returning from injury, a new coach/new system, a rookie pg, and anxiety over the whole Love and Al can't play together.

The issue is not dumping his contact, rather the feeling that he is not best suited for playing the style of ball the Wolves are desiring to play.

There is no way in hades that Prince/7 yields Al/4. The best would be Al/16 and I doubt that that even flies.

Al will likely be traded, and I think that the Wolves will live to regret trading him.

I screwed up the the draft pick number because I was also talking with someone about a trade with Indy for TJ Ford. I had #10 on the brain.

Minnesota was the team reportedly coming to Detroit offering Jefferson for Prince in an obvious salary move. The TWolves seem to have given up on Jefferson, and are looking to make more room for Love by just cutting bait. A big reason for this is because Jeffersons knees are shot.

It's no secret that Dumars is drooling over the thought of Cousins in a Pistons uniform, and Sacramento says they'lll take him if he's available.

So, the Wolves want to dump Jefferson for Princes contract. The Pistons want the #4 pick to take Cousins.

What about this idea is inflamatory???

The Timberwolves want the #1 pick. Come on Washington we'll give you pick #16.
