He said that Wesley Johnson is spectacular and that he thinks he's a future start.

Watch him get fired.

Huh, Jon Barry is an idiot..but at least we didn't get bashed on National TV again. I think people are really underrating Webster though..

If any reporter ever wants to write an expose about how all ESPN analysts are idiots who don't deserve their jobs, this is the kind of evidence they'll need.

No they aren't. Dude underperforms habitually. Good guy, wants it bad, just doesn't do it. He is basically Damien Wilkins - several years + optimism and expectations + a bunch more salary. Weak sauce.

Uh that might be the dumbest thing I've ever heard... Damnien Wilkins? What about Webster being able to shoot, just as athletic, 23 years old, and an above average defender.

That's not what he said. They were picking winners and he said Wesley Johnson was a winner of the draft. He did not say we were.

He won because we picked him so high, which means for money for him.

Gotta love Barry!

Hey peeps - as mentioned before, if you weren't around to see the Wolves play with Scottie Brooks and Felton Spencer you shouldn't complain...

I may be optimistic...but Wesley has been compared to Roy and Marion....not sure if either is even close, but I would much rather have him than the potential "basketcase" Cousins. Does anyone remember someone named JR Rider? Great (maybe exceptional) talent...but the common sense and intelligence of a rock.

There will also be additional offseason moves and we should all be patient...

Not every team can win the lottery or get lucky when Portland drafts Oden...so you can get Durant (as someone that now lives in Austin I called KD's success) and turn around a franchise...

I was exagerating a little bit to make a point but:
Webster: fg% .407 3 fg .372 FT .767
Wilkins: fg% .421 3fg .333 Ft .807

Is Webster the better shooter from distance: yes. Overall: arguably. Is it the dumbest thing you have ever heard: no, you a**.

You mean he is only 23, can't create his own shot and has good defensive potential....I feel like I've heard of this before.....somewhere.....maybe on a f***ing #4 pick anouncement. You just drafted this guy for $1.4 million less a year.

Bingo!

I've been spewing a ton of hate on Webster, but I don't hate him. I just hate the move.

I think you might be thinking of Evan Turner. Johnson is about as far away from Roy as you can get. Methodical excellant ballhandler (Roy)vs. no handle, speed guy(Wes)

Same here. Acquiring Webster would have been fine, but the price to do so seems ridiculous.
