I maintain that Gay is a scorer and Johnson is a primarily a shooter. They can work together on the wings, I wouldn't worry about calling 1 guy a sg and other a sf, its more about fit and skill sets.

I can see a rotation of Johnson / Gay / Webster / A little Ellington. I think it would be excellent. Webster may not start, but he would get consistent minutes in the range of 28-32 a game. Of course this means Brewer is gone, whom could hopefully net us Anthony Randolph somehow. Trade Pek for Jordan Hill and a 1st.

No way does Corey Brewer net you Anthony Randolph. Gay would be the SF and Johnson the SG.

To get Randolph you have to take back Biedrins, or trade one of Johnson or Love. That is the equivalent of a Warriors saying "of course this means Azubuikie is gone, whom could hopefully net us Kevin Love somehow." There is a big disconnect there.

Yeah, I remember how good our team was last year when someone like Gomes actually hit shots. When our wings make shots then we can be a good team and I think that with this roster we may not win a whole bunch more games, but we will be a much improved and you'll see alot less blowouts, more competitive play, etc..That's why I'm hesitant to trade Al because he hasn't had the luxury of working with actual shooters in his time here. One year he had Foye and Miller and we put together that one month in march before Al was hurt..

That's exactly how I feel, you can't blame a post up player for being inefficient if they don't have spacing and coming off a major knee injury to boot makes it more dubious. When he had a healthy Pierce in Boston his efficiency was very good and when Foye had that great month of basketball Al Jefferson went ape **** on defenses before blowing out his knee.

I don't see any possible chance of trading him for what he is worth this summer as a team would be insane to offer a fair package for a 23/11 big when he is coming off a 17/9 year for a 15 win team.

Just want to give you my opinion on what Webster's role should be to bring the most out of him. He's a player that will more likely play well if given minutes as a starter than if you bench him. I'm not exactly sure what it is but it seems like he can lose his confidence fairly easily but when he's playing well you'll love him for his shot and hustle on defense.

One question, has he made any public statements since being traded? I'd like to see what he has to say about it.

He had a press conference and an interview. He definitely says all the right things.
