Clearly the draft has shown us Kahn will shy away from players with character issues. And if he wanted Beasley, we'd probably have him right now.

If we were New York, New Jersey, or Chicago, I can see why cap space would be worth parting with Al. Like many teams, we've spent a lot of time and effort into making deals that will clear out bad contracts for summer 2010...And look - the market is flooded with premier talent and we're:

a) poised to spend the hard-earned space on Darko and Peko
b) jumping through hoops to outbid other teams on a #2/#3-type guy from the Grizzlies
c) shopping one of the few players on the team worth a hoot just to get more of a and b
