Considering who's already on the roster Gortat seems redundant. He doesn't provide anything new.

Orlando could use their TPE and take a contract off of someone and get a few assets

then turn around and trade Gortat, those assets from TPE, Redick S+T or Pietrus, 2011 1st, 2013 1st, rights to Vazquez for Jefferson or something like that, it'd depend largely on what Orlando can get from the TPE, but 2 firsts (maybe more), and serviceable white guys like Gortat and Redick might entice Kahn.

Kahn & Rambis want 2 7-footers at pf & c that can defend plus scoring punch off the bench(Pekovic), Love gets traded for Batum I guess.

Why would we need to trade love? He and Gortat seem like they would fit together well on the court. A big, athletic, defensive C and a passing PF that can shoot, not to mention the rebounding insanity.

With the four bigmen of Love, Darko, Gortat, and Pek, there is a pretty good diversity of skills that can be thrown out. Not perfect, but pretty darn solid.

Also: Gortat sets a freaking mean screen. Run the triangle with Love as the passing big and Gortat knocking defenders off of Wes and Webster on their cuts. Sweet.

you realize he is an easy 12 ppg/ 12 rpg / 2 block when given starter minutes, and has produced that when he was given the minutes. He cant help being behind iron-man Dwight who never gets hurt or wants to come out.

He is due $28 mil over the next 4 years, ages 25-29, so its not an over the hill guy. Also an unselfish player, doesnt need the ball much, happy to do the dirty work. If we didnt need a PF badly, i would prefer to keep him.

We have guys that can give us 12/12 .... there would have to be something in it for us

Chris Dudley. Straight up we are running out of defensively limited white people.

We should get a list.

Dudley cannot join the Heat. He's running for Gov of Oregon.

Maybe we could include Minn Gov Pawlenty - he has an expiring contract - for Gov. Dudley and cap space? Or have I been reading too many of these threads??

It was in response to the 7th PF comment, I'm guessing.
