If HOU matches Scola, it leaves NJN with even less talent to try to use their cap space on.

NJN has nine players and is about $30 mil under the cap .. and $15 mil under the NBA minimum salary. I think Jefferson has to start looking more appealing soon.

I would love soemthing along the lines of Jefferson/Pekovic for Favors as a base.

What about Love/Pekovic for Favors/Humphries like a few have suggested - makes more sense as far as the incoming pieces for NJ, as they don't duplicate each others talents. Pekovic hasn't signed and neither has Favors - so at this point it's still rights for rights. Then trade Al for space and 1sts, or do it before the NJ trade.

Opens up a spot for Beasley to start at PF (spot minutes only at SF), allows Favors to work off the bench for his first season (maybe more, but for the first at least). Timberwolves then have a sizeable TPE to use mid-season or next offseason.

PG: Flynn/Sessions
SG: Webster/Brewer
SF: Johnson/Webster
PF: Beasley/Favors
C: Milicic/Favors

That is a sweet athletic, uptempo team and gets downright sick with Rubio. It feels like we are selling short on Love and Jefferson on the surface but I think it's more like taking a small step back to get on a better path.

I watched NJ a few times at the end of last year and to be effective TWill needs the ball in his hands. He would be a disaster playing with a ball dominant PG trying to play solely off the ball and his shooting is like Brewer circa 2008. And didn't he have some personality issues coming out of Louisville? I could be wrong about that.

$43,465,240 (More during season without Rubio's cap hold.)

14.579 mil under the cap then. Right in Kahn's Love/Flynn or Love/Flynn/Brewer for Granger/Ford wheelhouse

We would be slightly under the minimum salary for a team; which is $43,533,000.
That's kind of funny :)

I thought Pekovic had signed... And I'd be a little leery of just Beasley/Favors at PF. Favors needs time to develop and Beasley is a headcase. It's definitely a high-risk/high-reward situation, but then again we are looking to run. it does seem like selling Jefferson/Love on the cheap though.
