Toronto wouldn't get Flynn, they'd get nothing and they'd happily accept it. Also, does Calderon make Rubio more or less eager to play in MN, seems like zero PGs on the team would be better

I wouldn't mind getting rudy, but no way jose. This is a horrible trade for the wolves.

What about Spanish classes for everyone on the team??? (sarcasm)

Seriously, why does it seem like no one has confidence in the idea of him actually coming to play for the Wolves. They have done more than enough (building a team around his skill set) - without him even being here yet - to convince him. Despite the NY propaganda, there has been little to suggest he has no interest in coming here. Why don't we talk about adding Rudy because he could be a nice addition to the team and not because we think having a Spanish pal will entice Ricky?

Actually, Rudy Fernández would be a perfect hook for Rubio. They're close friends and they already played together in DKV Joventut, they were known as "la Doble R" :D

I don't know what to think... Ricky said he'd play for Minny in two years but now that he's winning almost everything in Europe and he's so comfortable in his team he's always like "yeah... it's my dream to play in the NBA but I don't know where I'll go... I just want to think in Barcelona right now..."
When I finish a game, they ask me "how did it go? how many points did you score?", when the real question should be "what have you done today to help your team win?". - Ricky Rubio.

Rudy is acting like a diva and has made a "short list" of premium teams he will go to. Minnesota is not on the list. Let him go back to Spain.

Calderon makes $30 mil over the next three years, and you expect to get assets back for him?

I'd rather see Rudy bought out than traded for a bust who will likely expect minutes.. Not even for Rubio to join the NBA or for all the tea in China.

For a Klondike bar however...

FWIW, There was a lot of draft talk/rumors on Portland's 95.5 the Game and Blazer Insider, Jason Quick, talked a little bit about Rudy and Minnesota.

On draft day the Wolves had serious interest but that quickly vanished when Rudy's agent, Andy Miller, was asked by David Kahn if Rudy would play with the Timberwolves and was denied.

Rudy had a down year but he is a very good player. There seriously isn't a worse situation/coach that he could have came to. You just had to watch a few games to see he didn't like Nate McMillan and visa versa.

The ONE time Nate actually ran the Blazers was during a pre-season game during Rudy's rookie year. That's the system he needs to play in to realize his potential. He has point guard vision (as you'll see in this video), but not the handle, and can score but the system literally destroyed his game, you can't turn him into a standstill shooter like James Jones, and that's exactly what McMillan tried to do.
