Other than the big 3 to Miami it's clearly the best signing of the offseason. That's why Spurs have 4 rings in the last decade and Wolves, Nets, Suns, Hawks, Bucks etc. have none.

I thought that the Spurs didn't have much money, and Splitter probably knows that he helps them remain a semi-contender. Maybe he took less because he finally wants to play in the NBA and the Spurs have his rights and weren't going to trade him?

3 years 10 mil is less then Matthews right? Wesley Matthews is headed to Portland...all these swingmen who are pretty similar are shifting teams...it's kind of odd.

anyone else totally shocked that Lowry got 4 years at 24 mil., and Houston matched??? I never would've thought that Lowry would be making more money per year for more years that Randy Foye.

It is interesting that the spurs were able to get those contracts. Jefferson opting out and resigning for less was bizarre. Almost seems preconceived.

The NBA needs to investigate the Miami situation with Lebron getting things like Riley's old house and some of the strange roster moves they made. Seems like some under the table stuff.

Didn't Jefferson opt out because he wasn't sure about his contract situation after the CBA? He prefered the long term security?

As long as MIA didn't put anything in writing (ala McHale, Taylor, & Co.) I wouldn't think that they'd find any substantial evidense. It would be nice to see what would happen as punishment though...take away all their 29th overall 1st rounders that are going to other teams? They'd almost have to eliminate the team from playoff play for a season or two, because those picks won't mean squat and MIA doesn't even own them anymore.
