Koufus vs Hollins
They have similar salaries. Are they both going to be dumped or is one going to be kept? Hollins has already had a season of review. Might it not be worth it to take a season to view the younger Koufus? In that case they should be looking to pair Hollins with Sessions in these trade rumors.

Personally, I'd much rather include Hollins with Sessions in a trade for cap space and keep Koufos, who is expiring and makes less money. Also, Koufos might be a decent bench big, as opposed to Hollins, who we already know is garbage.

OJ Mayo is one of the best defenders in the league, hes a two way player and hes a great passer and playmaker.

I'd rather have Koufos, but it appears as though he was already on his way out the moment we acquired him. I'd rather even give Jawai another look than Hollins personally. Koufos should be able to get us more in return than Hollins could though.

Come on, at least with Hollins we'll get to see another "Ladder to Heaven" dunk. Jawai's highlights will consist of a blooper reel of botched catches in the paint.

I'll admit Jawai is much more of a project, but I actually saw a few flashes here and there of things I liked about him. He probably needs time in the DLeague though.

We need Hollins' length to put the star on the top of the T-Wolves office Christmas tree.

Seriously, Jawai? I can't understand how anyone here liked Jawai. All the dude was doing was standing under the basket and hoping that nobody grabs the rebound (because he can't jump up for it) or one of our players making an airball to him so he could convert. Unfortunately, he was pretty effective doing that last season because we were such a bad shooting team

I haven't seen much Koufos but I'll take him over Hollins just because I haven't seen anything from him. At least Koufos did not disappoint me yet. Hollins is best suited as a 6th big in a 5-big men rotation or as a practice pylon.

Gladly, nobody told David Kahn that it's possible to resign Pavlovic.

I think you guys are making too big of a deal out of my liken to Jawai. I kind of like him as a raw, long term, developmental, future deep reserve... someone you can stash away for a little while with the hopes he can turn into something even if only a 5th big which is probably his only upside at best. I don't hate the guy, but that doesn't mean I am nearly as high on him as led to believe merely because I don't think he is a complete lost cause.

No to Jawai - I'm a season ticket holder and having watched him up close last year, he has terrible hands and is NOT what we are looking for in a low post player. Not quick, not a skilled passer. I just don't see where he fits with the Wolves.
I don't know much about the new guy, but unlike many here I really like Hollins. He's never going to be a long-term starter, but he adds excitement and energy from the bench. He's young and if his excitement can be restrained a bit and his decision making improved slightly, he could be a servicable bench player.
I think we get more from Koufus and Sessions because of the value on their contracts than anyone else we are ready to part with on our roster.

We have to do the impossible, but it is possible.

My understanding is that we told Koufos' agent we would find a place for him where he will have a chance to play more. I doubt he plays here.

Hollins is more fun to watch. On a team that's going no where next year I'd like to be entertained for an extra 10 minutes a game.

I would actually keep Hollins. He's got a more unique collection of skills. For example if we're going to do any sort of Full-Court Pressure. I don't see him in more than an spotty role. I also think Koufos would be easier to unload.

Re: Koufus vs Hollins
Hollins should be ok in his new role as the third string center on the Wolves now. Sure he is overpaid for the gig but he's also better than most teams third string center. All he needs to do is bring some energetic play a few blocks and dunks as well as using his fouls to prevent easy baskets and he'll help the team.
It wouldn't be a great idea to deal him before Rubio comes over who like Jason Kidd might make him a little more productive and since his contract isn't exactly killing this teams cap room it would likely hurt any value the Wolves could get via trade if they tried to include him at this time.
Basically let him play out the deal as the third center until his contract is expiring and or Rubio comes over and ups his value.

I would think Rambis would like to hang onto Koufos, he's supposedly got some high post passing abilities
