Question about Harden,Ibaka,Batum,Pek
Whats up with everybody's fascination of these players? I'm just curious. Why does everybody seem to want these players? I personally dont even know what their strengths, weaknesses are. Also what about Pekovic? what are his strengths/weaknesses?

Harden - 6'5" SG who can create his own shot and create for others. He's also only 21 and was the 3rd pick a year ago. He still has a ton of potential
Ibaka - Freak athlete 6'10" PF/C. Will be a big time defender. Also still really young (20). Also still has a ton of potential.
Batum - Long, athletic 6'8" SF who can make shots from beyond the arc. Will also be a big time defender, is also very young (21), also still has a ton of potential.
As for Pekovic: http://www.draftexpress.com/profile/Nik ... ovic-1047/, DX has likely seen more of him than any of us, so I'd probably trust what they have to say about his strengths and weaknesses.

I do like that this his best case is Al Jefferson and his worst case is probably the best real center we've ever had (sadly) in Rasho Nesterovic.
Thriving on mediocrity since '89.

Yeah, thanks. I was just curious about them, because i have seen them all play, but I didnt really pay attention to them very much.. Except for Pek, I have just seen highlights, and that TrueHoop thing that someone posted, But otherwise, havnt seen anything of him. Lol, yeah i know that they all have potential, especially Harden. But for some reason, I had the idea that Harden was defensive. So I was clearly off base on that one! lol But yeah thanks AQuintus, thats pretty much exactly what i was curious of.

Re: Question about Harden,Ibaka,Batum,Pek
Harden is a good defender, but he's far from defensive. Already a great spot up shooter from three in his rookie season. Got the chance to facilitate at the beginning of the season, couple of 8 assist games in his first NBA month. For some reason they changed his role and he never got a chance to be a playmaker. But he has it in him, we saw that in college.
Being a rookie on a 50-win team, he had to come off the bench. Thabo is a great hustle player and deserved to start over the rookie. However, Harden is going into his second season and I'd love for him to get the starting nod over Thabo. He's good on both ends while Thabo is great on defense but a liability on offense.
James Harden is going to be a mix of Joe Johnson and Paul Pierce in terms of playing style.

I see, yeah i'd think that Harden would be starting this year. What about Jeff Green? how does he possibly play PF for them? Isnt he like 6'8? or 6'9? and scrawny? does he play 'D?
