if there's nothing left to rely on happening, our Lottery luck and sophomore curse comes in and says "hi".

Dale Cooper wrote:They'll win more than 10 games. They'll win some close ones, and probably post an okay record (okay for Minnesota being like .350) late in the year due to teams tanking/coasting, but they'll still be the worst team in the NBA by a long shot.

Whether they manage to top their gallant 2009-10 effort and win 16+ is hard to say. Depends on how much time Love gets. Without him, Minny would have probably been worse New Jersey last year. (They were anyway, but they were healthier and won more games. Same Pythag record though...)

Dale, how many Wolves games did you watch last year? The Pythagorean record reference really worries me... anyone who SAW what the Wolves were doing last year probably thought they were "developing players" (losing on purpose) rather than trying to win. Love off the bench? Flynn prohibited from playing pick-and-roll? The Wolves were not playing to win, period, which makes makes those kinds of stats suspect at best.

You're not "debating" anyone if you're posting to get a reaction. By definition anyone who goes to different boards to stir up mess is a troll.

Trolls are cute.

There is a fine line between effective starter and 6th man sparkplug. On offense flynn has potential and we are too quick to site his offensive struggles. Honestly, his offense was fine for a rookie pg. His defense was D-league. If he does not improve his defense he will not start.

Ridnour is not an all-world defender but he was a +4 PER where as Flynn was a -4. What if that difference really shows a change in the team?

If Jonny does not start out the season healthy, I'd be shocked if he is moved into the starting lineup whenever hes ready. He'll have to win it back from Luke. That might not be a bad thing either. Because if it ends up being Jonny moved when Rubio comes, teams will have seen how he performs as a spark off the bench. I think that will help his game too, much like it helped Foye early in his career.

Jonny Flynn having hip surgery in Colorado today. Sounds like 3 -4 month time is right, should know more 2day after surgery. #Timberwolves

I think Ridnour is better in the bench 20min role rather then the starting role. But that was in offenses that were more traditional in the PG. With this system we could possibly limit his duties and maintain production. Then allow Flynn to go crazy.

who knows, hopefully Rambis.

Up until last year, Ridnour had struggled when coming off the bench, but not played well enough as a starter to keep a job nailed down.

If he shoots like he did last year, he has a chance to be a decent stop gap starter.
"A while back,'' Cardinal said, "I took a picture of the standings and texted it to Love, just to bust his chops,'' Cardinal said. "He sent me a picture back of a snowdrift.''
