There is no doubt he can defend and his shot has improved but how good is he and how good could he be? Remember last year was his first year returning from injury.
And he does have a nice smile

So ... If he "earns" a starting job we'd trade him so we don't have to pay up? Logic would tell ME that it's time to move other players would not be content on playing behind him after he signs a new contract ... I suppose some think his trade value would be high, but geeez, at some point to you need to build a team - with players who deserve it.
IMO, lets not get the cart ahead of the horse, and rather, hope this is actually a problem we 're forced to deal with.
