I would probably say no though.
First, while I like Paul George, at this point, Kahn has went in a different direction with the SF position, and adding him would reduce the minutes for Wes Johnson and Webster.
Second, Beasley still has that trememndous upside, and tremendous upside is what we need. I personally don't think he's got the character to make good on his talent, but its a risk MIN needs.
Finally, while Beasley seems like a great fit in IND (needs a starting PF, young, inexpensive), their team will not bring in any player with criminal issues. Their ticket sales are low, and the fans demand that their team is rid of its "bad apples."
Great balance on a deal though, and a great thread.
the post is very good but the bolded part is false.
Following him over his first 2 NBA seasons i can state without any doubt that the kid is really a good person with a straight head.
The Weed issue and all the rehab thing were totally misleading in this sense. YES he probably smoke but i believe that a lot of players do it. A LOT. He's probably not the smartest guy but that doesn't make him a criminal or a bad apple. And the rehab was just orchestrated by Pat Riley to show that the organizazion cared about, and that he was gonna become totally clean and a new man (imo).
On the other side, he never complained about playing time, about he benched every single mistake to give PT to UD, despite the very hard pression to perform as a 2nd overall pick on the verge of the bust label (at 19 YO!) and was always recognized as a good locker room guy and an hard worker.
I feel really bad for him. Very unfortunate. I really hope he will break out next season!
sorry for the english.
edit: i understand that you not said that he is a criminal or anything, but you just pointed that the reputation he has around is not good for the pacers situation, i had no intention of discredit your words, i just post for the sake of conversation. Actually i felt the need to take the parts of SCB.
