OK guys; let’s look at a realistic minute’s breakdown for the Timberwolves to start this season, heres my version:
PG: Ridnour-25,Telfair-15, Ellington-8
SG: Brewer-25, Webster-15, Ellington-8
SF: Beasley-20, Johnson-25, Webster-3
PF: Love-32, Beasley-8, Tolliver-8
C: Milicic-28, Pekovic-15, Tolliver-5
Total Minutes
Ridnour – 25
Telfair-15
Ellington-16
Brewer-25
Webster-18
Beasley-28
Johnson-25
Love-32
Milicic-28
Tolliver-13
Pekovic-15
I can't see any starter bar Love averaging more than 32 minutes over the entire season. I expect Webster/Johnson to play 6th man roles early and maybe eventually Brewer/Beasley. Tolliver is going to suprise alot of people I think. This guy can score inside and out, and when he scored 19+ the Warriors went 6-3. Maybe he will be the dark horse on this squad?

Ellington won't get that many minutes... I see him getting 8-10 with Webster picking up the rest. I think the rest of it looks pretty good to start the season. Hopefully Rambis gets a nice rotation set by December and we start to see more consistency.

Interesting take on the minutes. Here are my critiques.
1. 8 minutes per game at Point Guard for Ellington is about 15 too many.
2. There's no reason at all that Ridnour shouldn't be getting 35 minutes per game at PG when his only real competition is Telfair.
3. 18 minutes per game for Webster is way too little, and 16 minutes per game for Ellington is way too many. I don't see any reason at all for Ellington to be in the regular rotation. He wasn't very good last year, and we have a few players (like Webster) that do the exact same things that he does but better.
4. Beasley should get more minutes. He's the only guy on the team who I'd say could be a real go to guy on offense.
5. Pekovic should probably get more minutes, but I can understand bringing him along slowly at the beginning.
6. If there are extra minutes at the C after Darko and Peko get theirs, they should go to Love. The extra minutes created at the 4 should then go to Beasley.
My rotation to begin the year would look like:
PG: Ridnour-33, Telfair-15
SG: Brewer-20, Webster-25
SF: Beasley-20, Johnson-25, Webster-3
PF: Love-27, Beasley-13, Tolliver-8
C: Milicic-28, Pekovic-15, Love-5
End of the year rotation:
PG: Flynn-30, Ridnour-18
SG: Johnson-20, Brewer- 18, Webster-10
SF: Beasley-20, Webster-18, Johnson-10
PF: Love-33, Beasley-15
C: Milicic-28, Pekovic-20

I agree with you on Beasley and Love getting more minutes - they deserve them
I now agree with you guys on Ellington playing fewer minutes - my bad. In that case Ridnour would get more minutes as would Telfair.
I can't see how Brewer is playing only 20 mpg as a starter to begin the year, and then 18 mpg off the bench at the end of the year would work. I think he has the upper hand over Webster and a Rookie.
Webster had a dissapointing post-all star run last year (6 ppg in 27 games) and Johnson has to prove himself as a rookie, but they could both surprise us all and adapt very quickly to the Triangle.
I think Rambis will give Tolliver and Pekovic consistent minutes in the pre-season to see what works well.
All in all, Im excited.

Ellington has improved since last year. You could just see it in the summer league. His first step was a lot quicker, and his passing was better too.
I hope he cracks the rotation.
I agree on the rest though, although I just don't know if Beas will pan out at SF. Nice to try it at least though.
