HoopsWorld Optimism?

What does all of this mean? Do we need to revise our predictions about the Wolves? Are they much improved, much more so than anyone believed?

Well, sort of. It wouldn't be a surprise at all to see this team top 30 wins and maybe even push towards 35. It won't be enough to keep them out of the cellar in the Northwest Division, but it would be a drastic improvement on 2009-10 and would paint the Wolves as a team to watch in 2011-12 (if there is a 2011-12, and if there is that could include Ricky Rubio).

These Wolves work hard and they are going to be quite entertaining to watch. Many have discounted them because they are the Wolves and because of their cost-conscious approach to the past summer, but it could end up paying very large dividends for them much sooner than anyone expected a month ago.

Then again, it is only preseason.

That was a fun article. This is the paragraph that caught my eye:
Successful teams need a few things. They need a smart point guard who doesn't turn the ball over. They need a defensive stopper in the middle and a solid rebounder. They need a go-to scorer when they need a basket. They need an outside shooting threat. They need a perimeter defender.

Shockingly, the Wolves have a great deal of those things.

Sometimes it just helps to state the obvious.

Wait, how can we have had a cost conscious summer if we grossly overpaid for Darko? I'm so confused while being hype.

Its poopsworld.

I'm not going to start putting significance on it just because they say something I agree with.

It's nice to see Darko get some respect, even if it's from this far off the beaten track.

I think a bunch of people are starting to re-evaluate the Wolves. I am sure that will go away when they drop 7+ of their first 10.
