I like it. This team is the league leader in rebounds, so even the loss of Love wouldn't have much effect. Defensively, we take a big step forward.

Although make-believe lineups including Iggy or Smoove (or both) might be lacking in offensive output, I'd always rather "err on the side of defense" so to speak.

A rotation including Smith, Iggy, Wes J, Flynn, Webster, Darko, Tolliver, Rubio, Pekovic etc. sounds like a fantastic explosive blend of defense, strength, and athletic freakishness... *drool*

By my estimation, that would leave some combination of Beasley, Love, Ellington, Brewer, and picks/cap space as trading currency to make that lineup happen... is that enough?

agreed.

Yeah I know it's...optimistic, but it was just a bit of fun.

With the trade, I'm on the fence along with most of you. While Smith would upgrade the interior defence a hell of a lot and bring more experience and highlights it would be tough to replace Love's rebounding and floor spacing. Still, I'd probably do it, if to just have someone that fit in more with the up and down style the team wants to run.

Interesting... I think I would do this trade, Smith fits our play style well and he's definitely an improvement on defense from Love and he's very athletic of course. The thing I would be worried about is I'm not sure if he would get quite as many rebounds as Love could but it would be pretty close I would think, also I feel this team benefits a lot from the spacing Love brings too. Its a tough call, but I wouldn't mind if it happened.

I think Smith is definately a 4. I don't think he can be a 3 in our offense. Maybe a Favors-Love swap would be a better/cheaper idea? We could still move Beasley to the 4 and play Favors at the 5.

I'm 100% behind this one. Love isn't in Smith's class as a player.

I'd be down with it too. Smith has clashed with coaches before too, but as far as player, Smith is definitely complete.

20/8/6/2/5 with 0 Turnovers. I'm pretty sure he's averaging 5 blocks a game so far lol. Obviously go down, but impressive nonetheless.

I think Love is looking better for a trade as each game goes on. His stats are so hollow it isn't funny at this point.

I'd be thrilled if this trade went through. Our defense would get severely upgraded. And even though Darko is horrible on offense this season he is still getting lots of blocks. The two of them together would be very good.

Two weeks ago he was the franchise. Now people want him gone.

He was NEVER "The Franchise." Do not insult Kevin Garnett like that.

Yeah, the talking heads went overboard with calling him the franchise. He's not even the best player on this team anymore.

If you can pull this off, do it and dont look back!

I cant believe Smith is only 24. Guy's a vet already.

This trade would be amazing. Too bad Atlanta isn't struggling. Rubio/Johnson/Smith/Beasley would be ridiculous.

Do this trade, right now. Give them a draft pick too. I don't care. We need elite defenders on this team, and Josh Smith is one of the most athletic ones in the league.

I'd do this.

Don't forget smiths 15% kicker. Think he's still a 4 here. Leave beasly at the 3 imo.
