Ridnour / Flynn / Telfair (Rubio)
Johnson / Fernandez / Ellington
Beasley / Webster / Hayward
Milicic / Tolliver
Oden / Pekovic / Koufus

Note: POR has own AND New Orleans' 2011 1st rounders.

Fernandez doesn't want to be here and Oden strikes me as the kind of player that his own team would value higher then his actual league wide value.

I believe a certain guy named Michael Beasley once said he was glad he didn't get drafted by Minnesota...Understandable for Oden, but I see him as the athletic center (if healthy) that Ronzone said we need.

And I believe Ricky Rubio said something similar. Besides, I'm talking about the rumour that came out on draft day where someone said the FO asked Fernandez's people if he was interested in Minnesota and they said no. So...completely different situations.

Agreed that Oden would fill that athletic centre role, obviously, that Ronzone mentioned but that comment seemed weird to me the moment I heard it. Aren't they already invested in the Darko/Pekovic combination? So why would they even need another centre with Koufos on the roster as well? And how would either of Darko or Pekovic respond to less minutes if the goal is to upgrade them with a more athletic player?

It's interesting, because I think that Darko might be better coming off the bench. It's clear he and Love both need someone that can score inside to play off and if the team could get a Greg Oden or someone like Fab Melo in the draft then you could roll out Love-"Oden" and Darko-Pekovic pairings, which I think would be better then what we have now. The only thing I'd worry about is the ball movement from the new centre, since we've all seen the difference in the offence when Darko is in and when he's out.

But Fernandez doesn't have a no trade clause, so I don't see how it matters where his people want him to go.

Personally, I think that if a deal like this were made, it would basically move Darko to the PF position. And I'm not sure why Koufus being on the roster would stop them from adding another big.

But why trade for a guy who doesn't want to be here? Especially if that's half the reason why we're even talking about trading Love.

I think we lost something in translation. When I was talking about the Ronzone comment I wasn't talking about it in the context of trading Love and I'm assuming neither was he when he said it. So, if Love is still on the roster why would he say they're looking for an athletic centre if they've already got Pekovic and Darko that they're committed too?

Just curious, but did Darko want to be here when we traded for him?

I don't think he wanted to be anywhere

Would a Ersan/Delfino/Bucks 1st trade from Milwaukee interest you guys? I think the Bucks need to do a 2 for 1 trade. Love has some "dog" in him. Maybe Skiles could get it out of him. I can assure you Delfino and Ers are big time effort guys who seem to be getting better.
"I just wanted to play because I just love the game," Jennings said. "It doesn't matter to me. I get up to play basketball. It's my job. I have to still be a professional and finish the season."

Every team needs to do a 2 for 1 trade, but no team more than the wolves.

I was one of Kevin's harshest critics a few games ago, but I think he deserves our patience given the last 2 games. Especially the Sacramento game, the way he kept his head in the game despite his struggles and came back and contributed in the 4th. I think that that was the type of game that historically he would have sulked on the bench and Rambis would have never put him back in, but this time he remained engaged in cheering on his teammates, and Rambis rewarded him for that by giving him a chance in the 4th, and he responded very well.
I don't have a link, but read in the Star Tribune today some quotes from Beasley about the situation. He basically said that Kevin is a great player but he has to work on keeping his head in the game when things don't go his way, and said that he is improving in that regard and will continue to improve. By all accounts Love and Beasley are pretty close, and I really think that Beas will be a very good influence on Kevlar. (I was also firmly on the 'just-say-no-to-SuperCoolBeas' wagon before we got him, but I can't say enough how much he is growing on me day by day. Even before the 42 point explosion, I started falling in love with his attitude. He has on several occasions referred to himself as an "assassin", meaning that he never looks back at what's behind him, only looks forward to the next challenge, the next opponent. Also, HE HAS A SAMURAI HAIRCUT. I feel that there is some real power in that haircut, and I will be very disappointed if he goes back to the boring ass cornrows any time soon.)

Wow, sorry for the rant, but long story short, I do not want to trade Love right now, as long as he continues to show improvement in his attitude and keeps taking lessons from Sensei Skittles. If he refuses to respect the teachings of Sensei Skittles and does not show continued improvement in his attitude over the course of this entire season, I will re-assess my stance at that time.

In closing, I predict that little by little the Pups will learn to respect the example of Sensei Skittles, who will single-handedly refuse to let the Pups lose another game by 30 or more points this entire season.
