Garnett was worth every penny of that contract though.

I miss McHale and his ability to teach post moves....maybe this is a secret cry for help.

If he fails at teaching Darko post moves, he can always give Darko some fishing tips.

the best quote is beasleys calling Darko very talented. It says a lot his teammates see his potential.

I'm gunning for the Wolves but on another level I'm also gunning for Darko. I wnat Darko to score game winners against the Bobcats and the Knicks.

We had no play-off appearances for 7 years before McHale, and we went to the play-offs eight straight years under him. Obviously, no play-off appearances since he left.

I've got to give him credit for taking a chance on high school Garnett back then, when a lot of people thought we should play it safe and take Ed O'Bannon. I think he's been hit and miss with his draft picks overall.

The Kevin Love trade turned out great (Love, cap space (Beasley?), and Miller was half of Rubio). Getting so much value for Marbury after he demanded a trade was pretty good, and his Ricky Davis trade with MIA was very good as well. He's made bad ones as well, like Jaric. I don't blame him much for Joe Smith - sounds like he fell on the sword for Glen Taylor.

So far, he's been the best, and most successful GM that we've ever had.

But that's a pretty low bar.

So do you think Darko really like fishing?

Or do you think that's just some local Minnesota-talk he picked up?

Laimbeer is fishing and hunting nut. Perhaps he has been hanging with Laimbeer too much.

Now if Laimbeer can help in Darko's shooting that would be great.

I really don't blame anyone for that situation. It was KG's first big contract, so he's got to try to get what he can and considering what KG ended up becoming I can't blame the front office for doing what it took to lock him up. It was just the way contracts were headed at that time. It could have been worse, we could have been the team that gave Juwan Howard a 100 million dollar contract.

Ah ok, thanks. I became a Minnesota fan a few years after he got that massive contract and never really knew why they'd do something drastic. Never blamed them either, considering his play.
