It's also funny to look back at the discussion at the beginning of this thread and then how the game ended. Although I will commend shrink for showing some restraint towards Beasley lately, start of thread discussion notwithstanding.
"A while back,'' Cardinal said, "I took a picture of the standings and texted it to Love, just to bust his chops,'' Cardinal said. "He sent me a picture back of a snowdrift.''

I wanted Josh Smith (defense) and Rambis was pissing me off at the time.

I never wanted to fire Rambis. Also, I never really wanted to trade Love. I just wanted to see what we could get for him.

I defended Rambis throughout. I tried to be patient with Love, but was very close to wanting to trade him. I'm sure we'll hit some more rough patches this season, but after this strong stretch we know what this team is capable of. What a crazy 10 days.

Not ALL of us. It just shows there's a few fickle people on this board.

Still not a big fan of Rambis. I don't think I will be until we hit at least 30 wins. I don't remember specifically saying anything about trading Love, but I was interested in trading him for Josh Smith.

I wouldn't call it fickle. The Wolves had earned the criticism by being terrible for half a decade. Rambis has been here for more than a year, Love more than 2. They've been here long enough for fans to have solid opinions. It's not like people who wanted to fire Rambis think he's coach of the year now, and I'm assuming the people who wanted to trade Love don't suddenly think he's a franchise player. The Wolves are playing well so people ease up on the criticism.
I wasn't calling for Rambis head quite yet, but I was close. I'm still not convinced he's a good coach, but the team is playing well so I'm willing to give him more time.

I suppose you're right but I still think the fans are so, so fickle regarding Love. It's the start of the season and people were screaming for a trade. He's young and has plenty of potential so I found it baffling to be honest. It's just amazing how they can go from screaming for a trade to creaming over his 31/31 game and his recent form lately.

I'll admit I was one of Love's harshest critics after the first 7 or 8 games of the year, but it was not so much his production that had me fuming, but his attitude and lack of effort. I was worried he would never shake his habit of sulking when things didn't go his way, and I was worried that attitude would be detrimental to the team's chemistry. Obviously, he has turned that around and if he can keep it up it will be great for his development as a player and as a leader. I really don't think enough can be said about the way Beasley has inspired Love to play with more passion and focus, and I love that apparently Jonny was the one who inspired Beasley to break out of his shell. I really think that with a young team, teammates inspiring eachother is a very important aspect of shaking a losing culture, and that if/when this team falls back into playing uninspired ball, it won't last too long because now that this team has seen the results of playing with passion they will have something to look back on for reference.
