How is choosing to play for a different team not a betrayal? It's the nature of the business and he doesn't have to feel bad about it, but it's a betrayal.

I think under normal circumstances it wouldn't be betrayal, but the way he went about it definitely escalated it to that level. National TV? Your own 1 hour special? Not being open about negotiating? It was completely selfish, and he tried to mask it with the Boys and Girls Club.

In terms of team sports, I think it's always a betrayal when you choose to play for a different team, especially from the fan point of view. Why would any of us be Timberwolves fans? The team sucks and has for years. The only reason is loyalty, and fans are going to expect the same type loyalty from players as they show as fans.
In terms of business, it is what it is, you do what's best for you.

I agree with the B&G Club comment. It reminds me of the time when KFC offered to donate to charity for any player who would do the chicken dance after scoring a touchdown in the Superbowl. Yes it's for charity, but it's more to mask criticism than anything.

No matter how he left as a free agent, Cleveland fans were still going to be angry. Personally I hate him because he's a d**** and an attention w**** (love censoring my words). He bumped two coaches in public, mentions how he's taking mental notes of everyone talking, complains how he's received a few racist messages from twitter he's seen (first off it's the internet, plus I'm not feeling sorry for the guy who makes millions more than me), and this...

I'm not LBJ obviously, but I suspect that he made his decision a long time before that show (maybe even before he changed his number).

As a fan of the 90's WWF and the NBA it felt like I was watching the Rock insult whatever city he was in that night. I loved how he was nodding his head to the beat of the "Akron hates you" chant. Obviously I would hate had it happened to my team, I'm still biter KG left, but I coulnt care less in this situation, I'm still a Lebron James fan.

LeBron hasn't done anything wrong in my opinion, he's shown he's hungry for success. As for the crowd 'hostility'..complete load of rubbish. That was nothing..especially compared to soccer crowds over here in the UK, that can get ridiculously out of hand.
