Darko stood around and watched on like 4 plays tonight. I don't like that.

Ridnour is terrible. Brewer is terrible. Beasley has a ridiculous amount of work still to do.

We need a freaking offensive threat on the perimeter. Right now they take away Beasley's jump shot and he's practically useless, nobody passes the ball to Johnson so he's useless and Brewer is god awful.

Judging from the box score:

Could we please try to create some shots for our best shooter Wesley Johnson?

I'm tired of these scrubs Wayne Ellington, Corey Brewer and Luke Ridnour getting a huge amount of shots while WJ is left hanging at the 3pt line. He's always ready to shoot it there but nobody will ever pass the ball to him. It's kinda frustrating.

Id rather have Harrison Barnes at the moment and see him next to Rubio/Johnson on the wing.

Yep getting Flynn back should be huge for this team. Right now we really don't have anyone who can drive into the lane, collapse the defense, and kick out. Beasley can occasionally make a good drive to the rim, but he turns the ball over too often, and he pretty much never looks to kick out.

Outside of Beas, we really don't have anyone. Adding someone like Iguodala would also be huge for this team, but that would almost definitely mean moving Beasley to the 4 (not necessarily a bad idea) to make the wing rotation work, and then we'd have to move Love (or Beasley) to make the big rotation work. :dontknow:

And get rid of Beasley?

I wouldn't mind Barnes but it would take a stroke of genius from Rambis to get the rotations right with everything as it is now. I suppose it could work if Beasley took all of the backup PF minutes, but it'd still be a little awkward. Plus, we'd need to find another defensive, rebounding centre to back up Darko.

Wolves need some 3pt shooter, and good point guard.

Turn him into a 6th man scoring machine off the bench at either 3/4 spot getting 32 mins a game.

Johnson/Beasely
Love/Beasely

Johnson = 32 mins
Love = 32 mins
Beasly = 32 mins (16 at each spot)

Then you have Rubio/Flynn/Barnes/Webster as your backcourt rotation

Darko/Athletic Big as centre spot.

Problem solved :)

just a rollercoaster w/ these cats, they rattle off a nice W at the buzzer on the Clips, get reintroduced to quality basketball by the lakers, play a nice comeback game against the thunder, a fantastic first half against the Spurs, then after halftime its return of the emowolves: meteoric 2nd half collapse, 3 point clinic taught by the dubs, then your classic "I cant wait to punch out" game against the Mavs

That loss against the Spurs really shook their confidence, I'm still pissed off about that game. I really hope they can respond positively on Friday. The spurs will be a little more wary this time around.

The NBA is trying to break us so we can't go on for the remainder of the season.

I thought about this and while I'd like it to be, I don't think it's that easy.

I think we can both agree that Webster deserves at least 25mpg going forward, if not more. Johnson should get 30 and Barnes should get the same. So that leaves 18mpg behind both of them and 16 behind Love. To get Webster's minutes, he'd have to take all of the backup SG and 7 from backup SF. That leaves 11 at SF and 16 at PF, which adds to 27 minutes for Beasley.

So it just doesn't work. If we did get Barnes and he was everything everybody ever said he'd be, I'd probably rather get another veteran then Beasley anyway. This team is young enough and if we had a veteran bench of Ridnour, Webster, SF/PF veteran and Pekovic/other then it'd help with these late game, crapping our pants situations the team is finding itself in.

Johnson and Barnes are top level prospects who deserve 30 mins a game to see what they can do. Webster is an injury prone bust who may or may not pan out. That is the difference in our opinions.
