This.

I had a good laugh at the OP at the start, All-Star!

Yeah, both of these. I actually think his ceiling is a little bit higher. With another couple years experience he could be a starter, albeit for a lesser team. He doesn't seem to have the quickness that is necessary for a really good center. If he has enough smarts he could learn to anticipate a great deal of the action and be in the right place at the right time enough that he could start somewhere, but he will eventually be limited by reaction time and lateral movement speed. He's going to be a backup on a decent team or a starter on a crappy one.

Well, sounds like he is not well-liked in minny.

As others have said, he isn't disliked or anything, it's just funny and surprising to see a thread like this pop up about the 3rd string center on a team with the 3rd worst record in the NBA.

I'm glad Kahn picked up the option on him, he doesn't look quite as athletic as he did when he was younger, due to bulking up, and he doesn't venture onto the perimeter much, but he's still a reasonably skilled 7 footer who has youth on his side. May as well be patient as long as the price tag is reasonable.
"A while back,'' Cardinal said, "I took a picture of the standings and texted it to Love, just to bust his chops,'' Cardinal said. "He sent me a picture back of a snowdrift.''

thank you for all the responses from wolves fans. a decent center is a rare breed in the NBA. I am very tired to see undersized center starting for their team or natural power forward playing as centers. I remember when I was voting the center position in the all star game, I had a hard time picking one besides Yao and shaq. when I was watching his highlight online, he looks like a guy who could be someone special.
he does look very athletic in the clip and I see him outrun the swing man. again his actions r limited and we will see whether he can turn into a little something. by the way,
I think the wolves have a very exciting squad and it will be a very fun team to watch in the coming years and I am a raptors fans

The problem is that highlights make everyone look like All Stars, especially college highlights. That's the whole point of them.

he's still a really young guy, couple mos from 22, and he's big, showed solid skill in college, and not totally lost on the court, he should at the very least find a spot on a roster for awhile w/ outside chance to start some games some day. For a guy like Koufos its just a matter of not getting broken early when everybody treats you like a bitch and tries to take it to to him hard every time. Koufos seems like a guy who's eventually going to start throwing some counter punches but it will take a good 2 or 3 years still I'd guess.

He's got a lot to learn about playing the game, but he has good physical skills and a nice shot. He's gotten alot stronger since coming into the league.

He probably could benefit more from extended d-league time than spot minutes here, and definitely could have benefitted from a couple more years of college. A Gortat-level guy is realistic for him, Roy Hibbert would be best-case.
