Bill Walker for Sebastian would probably work IMO. Walker is a solid player with a smooth offensive game. Knows how to adjust his body when driving in the paint. If dont watch out he'll slam it on you! He's also a surprisingly good 3 point shooter....
Walker reminds me of a slower but smarter JR Smith...

Nah. We may need him if we gut our roster for Melo.

Randolph, 1 million in cash, Mason Jr for Telfair & Tolliver?

I'd decline that. I like Tolliver

I like Randolph, Mason and cash for Telfair, Koufos and Ellington more. Don't know if the Knicks will like it.

That's a nice trade, but we'd probably need to include the UTA pick.

Tolliver's played well for us, but he doesn't have much more value than what we paid for him. If we added Randolph, we'd probably need to move Tolliver anyway to find AR the minutes necessary to have a chance to develop him.

We could use Ellington in Denver trade so maybe that could work.

I like it like this:

Min OUT: Sebastain Telfair, Kosta Koufos, Anthony Tolliver, 1st r. pick (UTA or MEM)
Min IN: Ronny Turiaf, Anthony Randolph, Eddie Curry

NYK OUT: Danilo Gallinari, Eddie Curry, Anthony Randolph, Ronny Turiaf,
NYK IN: Carmelo Anthony, Chris Anderson, Sebastian Telfair

Den OUT: Carmelo Anthony, Chris Anderson
Den IN: Danilo Gallinari, Anthony Tolliver, Kosta Koufos, 1st r. pick (UTA or MEM)

Denver sheds salary. They would have to do a separate deal (probably for KMart) to get under the cap, but it's within sight at -$6mil. They get two solid players, a draft choice and a prospect big for 'Melo.

NYK gets 'Melo, a backup point (who grew up in NYC), and a crazy man.

Min gets an athletic big who knows the triangle and can contribute right away, a prospect they are interested in, and sends Eddie Curry to the Bahamas or wherever is farthest away from the locker room.

It would be tough giving up Tolliver, but I guess I'd do that

Remove Turiaf. I highly doubt we are moving him at all. He is vital.

Azubuike, Walker are players we can trade.

Without Turiaf, there's no way moving Tolliver makes sense for the Wolves. Randolph is too speculative in terms of upside. Also, the Knicks need to move salary out to get 'Melo. I think when it all shakes down, it's going to cost the Knicks some valuable pieces to bring 'Melo on board.

If you take out Tolliver and Turiaf then throw in Azubuike, it still works financially if they cut Gaines.

Tolliver seems like a guy who'd be a great deadline addition for a title contender. I love his playing style and role on our team, but it will be interesting to see what types of offers we get for him.

Would we want to give him up though? He seems like the kind of guy you'd want to keep.

I agree. But if we get a really good offer, its hard to pass that up I'd think.

I guess. I'd be surprised if anyone would offer something great for Tolliver though. He's not exactly a guy that jumps off the page.

But I feel like we see teams with very specific needs at the deadline every year. It is usually a team like ORL a couple years ago with Jameer injured, or POR last year with Oden/Pryz down. These teams go get guys like Skip to my Lou, Tyron Lue, and Camby (who is still very effective, but old). That is not necessarily a list of world beaters. So there will most likely be a market for a cheap/serviceable big.
