Grizzlies would love to get 1st round picks for Mayo. Do they even have a decent backup PG?

I think the rub with Yao is he won't be cheap. Especially for us. If he is going to play somewhere other than Houston (not likely) it will probable be San Antonio or Dallas imo. Why would he want to move to a completely new city/state and fan base. I don't think its gonna happen, but we probably wouldn't be an attractive destination to a fading star on his last leg.

Every once in a while Klomp suggests a trade that makes all of us shake our heads.

If Yao had anything left houston would play him.

a stress fracture is nothing, he needs to quit international play and rest. Oden is the gamble, Yao is fine if takes the time to rest and stops listening to the people's republic

Did I ever say anything about a trade?

Don't need an expiring contract and wouldn't give up anything meaningful for him. So just because they're willing now doesn't really change my mind.

....and with some "team option" or such. Yao....Oden....B Roy.......

odds are ANY is not getting through a season playing at what level they once did....even if playing just 25 min a game. I can picture Yao and Love trying to get back on D vs a fast break.

The Rockets are looking for a package that includes a prospect, a draft pick and an expiring contract in any deal for Yao Ming, reports Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports.

"Rockets want combo of prospect, picks and expiring $ for Yao. Teams can get $8M in savings via insurance/chance to re-sign him at cut rate," Wojnarowski wrote on his Twitter page.

Wow - way to ask for the moon. Acquiring Yao means a team is guaranteed to be paying $X million dollars for ZERO production. And HOU wants an expiring AND a pick AND a prospect?

Well, if anyone can get that, I guess it's Daryl Morey
